@Brenda Armstrong yes you are correct. I have finished the videos as well. I am now interacting as I should have been while doing the videos. Since I did the videos while at work interacting wasn’t possible with driving a semi.

OTR EXPERIENCE GUY
Hey everyone! I'm Bill, brand new here! I bring twenty-plus years of OTR big truck experience. I'm looking forward to dispatching from home as my wife is now homebound due to health issues and so, I can help her while working. We have two "children" of the four-legged variety, Baxter, a miniature schnauzer and BB, my baby, a miniature Shi Tzu...all the two-legged kids are grown and gone. I'm pretty sure, through the years I've made about every mistake a driver can make out on the road so I hope to bring real experience to the community and help others understand some of the ins and outs of trucking?!

Welcome Bill I also bring trucking experience. 15 years in the industry and 4 years as an instructor in the great state of the heart of it all. We certainly will be able to resonate with the drivers being drivers ourselves.

@Eddie Majors honesty and more money when your the oo. When your cpm as a company driver the loads that has the most miles. Also efficiently booking loads and not having very much down time. Plus keeping on the back of the shipper/receiver in getting me in and out of the dock as fast as possible.

Rewatch videos
Does anyone know where I can access the videos that was already watched? I tried the classroom but it’s the same video in everyone ont the video that was there to watch. I listened to the videos at work. I wanted to go back over them and take notes I need.

@Dispatcher University at first the only video I was seeing was this one in the screen shot. Now I am seeing the original ones. I am sorry to take so long to reply. I work long hours in the trucking industry. I hope to sit down tonight and over the weekend and take the notes I need to get this going.

Do you think it’s wise to tell a carrier or broker that you’re a new dispatcher? Why or why not?

It’s always good to be transport and honest. At the same time it’s a double edge sword that can limit you. I wouldn’t say anything unless asked. You’re also trying to build trust. As a driver myself and can speak for most of us. We have been lied to in this industry by many in different positions. Everything from the recruiter trying to earn their money to the driver manager. The more people we find being honest to us are the ones we are willing to trust.

1-1 call
I finished the free courses. It keeps referring me back to the road map for the free gift. I have tried to book the 1-1 call and it doesn’t show any available time slots. I have checked numerous times today and still the same result. Is anyone else having this issue?
