Replay of 29 Jan 2026 online jam
Unedited recording of our public live streaming session of January 2026 https://www.jacktrip.com/recordings/NG9GRQCcyjMddUCEt-0S4 This is just the visible part of a wider project: creating safe playgrounds online for jazz ensemble music. Everybody plays from home with zero logistics, meeting like minded people and putting study material to practice. There are several private sessions per week giving everybody the opportunity to jam. It is free. Interested ? Let me know. We can set up gypsy jazz session for those who wish. We have already violins and brave guitars are welcome. https://www.jacktrip.com/recordings/NG9GRQCcyjMddUCEt-0S4

Public Live Stream Jam 29 Jan 2026
Jimmy's and Eva's play along jam sessions are great, as anybody with Zoom can participate. Taking the concept a bit further, it would be nice to have jam sessions online in real-time where players can interact and hear each other while playing. With a fast internet connection and the right setup this is perfectly possible. A circle of friends who jam every week online privately does precisely this. We are violin and wind players and guitars as well. Setting up something similar for gypsy jazz is just a matter of finding interested participants. You get an idea of what is possible at our next public live streaming session on 29 January 2026 at 20.00 Paris time. You can watch us while it happens at https://www.jacktrip.com/events/9BRHYe__33pTBRviUxkd4 It is a great way to bring jazz standards to life in a joyful gathering. Knowing that typically about 100 spectators are watching us, adds extra excitement. The January 2026 setlist includes: Billie's Bounce Rhythm-A-Ning It Don't Mean A Thing Jitterbug Waltz Stompin' At the Savoy Little Sunflower I Fall In Love Too Easily Triste Watermelon Man All Blues Night And Day Anthropology

Zoom and Meet are not the tools you need for playing together in real-time. For musicians there are dedicated platforms such as JackTrip, Sonobus, Jamkazam, Jamulus, FarPlay and some more. With fast internet you can play in real-time with people hundreds of miles away from your place.
Monday Morning Jam
Monday 22 December 2025 at 9.00 am Paris time we meet on JackTrip at the Jazz Standards Jam Club St Ghislain with some violins. Guitars and other instruments are welcome. If you want to join us contact me. Yesterday we had a lively session (not gypsy, rather mainstream) in the same virtual studio. Have a look, it might be for you as well : https://www.jacktrip.com/recordings/ZVbyBUzFpyOMwJvb2fb6m
