I lean on the metal side. More durable and easier for me to match metals than leather (siver and gold vs black and brown).
Spare parts
So, I've bought this watch online, a Longines Golden Wing. (Picture one) Only then I noticed it's missing a golden bezel. Also the wristband is pretty snuggy tight fitting. Until now I have not found any spareparts (I could not find a replacement bezel and a single piece of the wriststrap costs arround $ 70.-). (I have paid arround $ 180.- for the watch) Would you buy a second watch, just for the replacement parts? The second picture is the cheapest I have found so far. Offered as working, but from an eastern europe country, I'm cautious (on ebay with good ratings, but still). (It would be arround $150.- incl. shipping) -would you buy a second watch? -would you wait to find a cheaper one that's sold as non-working? -where else can I look for bezels if not on second hand platforms? -can a bezel be handmade? who does this? -and if the wristband is tight but symetrical, is it ok to add just one link, making it asymetrical? Sorry for the many questions. The watch still looks nice, but knowing it's missing a part is bugging me.

@Arthur McCarthy I probably will ask one or few jewelers for advice and offers. Even if I get the second watch, I would have to take the bezel off the second watch and mount it on the fist...

@Roberto Fernandez yes they do, and I live in Switzerland, which should make things easy, right? Its CHF 90.- for a small and CHF 230.- for a full service. I plan to go to a licence partner of Longines, there are 7 in the city of Bern. I'm just afraid this small part will cost more than a second watch, will have to find out.

Great watch, just got mine in gold
Only time can tell
I‘m new here and want to show you where I‘m at: -2x Candino -Garmin activ vivo 3 -Longines Golden Wing -Swatch -Fossil sun watch (for fun) My future plans involve a storage unit, a golden casio vintage design and a replacement for the Swatch as the glas is broken and it‘s running slow twice a day. Maybe a Certina DS or Tissot PR100? I always liked the silver and deep blue and it‘s my second swatch in a familiar design.

@Gurevich Pouye For Certina (DS-1) or Tissot PR100 I will see what opportunity comes up. Both are quite similar. The Certina DS7 is more rugged but would probably exeed my budget and I would then get the Citizen Eco Drive. We'll see. For storage I want a box with see-through cover, I have seen boxes for 6, 8 and 12 watches and lean towards 8 or 12. So I want to replace some of my watches but also add a few (the Casio in gold, but also a leader strap etc.)

@Robert Meyers Thank you. The Longines is the most expensive watch I've got so far. I bought it used online. At reception I noticed it's missing a thin golden bezel. I didn't see it on picture, would you have noticed from afar? I'm looking for a replacement, but couldn't find one so far.
Citizen Eco-Drive Chronograph and a Long Day with Montblanc
Watch of the Day is my Citizen Eco-Drive H500-S049628 HST Chronograph. A solar powered workhorse with chronograph function that has been with me so long I can barely remember when I picked it up. It just keeps on going like a steady old friend. Scent of the Day is Montblanc Explorer Ultra Blue Eau de Parfum. The first spray faded at 4 hours, but a reapply carried me another 7 hours strong. Total performance today was an impressive 11 hours.
