Hinton Hoops, Part 2: DISCIPLINE OVER MOTIVATION šŸ”„šŸ€
If you’re waiting to ā€œfeel motivatedā€ā€¦ you’re already losing. Motivation is inconsistent. It comes and goes based on mood, energy, and comfort. That’s why most players stay average. The best players? They don’t rely on motivation. They rely on discipline. Discipline is showing up when you’re tired. Discipline is training when nobody’s watching. Discipline is doing it even when you don’t feel like it. That’s the difference. Motivation says: ā€œI’ll train when I feel good.ā€ Discipline says: ā€œI train no matter what.ā€ And here’s the truth— you don’t need to feel ready… You just need to start. Because once you start, everything changes: Energy increases. Focus locks in. Confidence builds. So stop negotiating with yourself. Build a system: ā° Same time every day 🚫 No zero days šŸ’Ŗ Start even when you’re tired That’s how you separate. Because discipline doesn’t just build your game— it builds who you are. Comment ā€œDISCIPLINEā€ if you’re done relying on motivation. Save this if you’re ready to level up. šŸ”’

@Logan Hinton i agree but I sometimes watch motivational videos while doing my workouts ( body not basketball drills)
Hinton Hoops, Part 1: Identity First
Most players say they want to improve…but they move like someone who’s unsure. That’s the problem. You don’t rise to your goals. You fall to your identity. If your identity is: ā€œI train when I feel like itā€ or ā€œI hope I get betterā€ You’ll always be inconsistent. But when you decide:ā€œI am a hooper.ā€ā€œI train daily.ā€ā€œI compete in everything.ā€ Everything changes. Your habits get sharper.Your effort becomes automatic.Your mindset becomes different. This is where real development starts. Not drills. Not workouts. IDENTITY. Because identity → actions → results. If you want to separate yourself, start here: 3 DAILY STANDARDS:⚔ Energy — how you show upšŸ’Æ Effort — how hard you gošŸŽÆ Focus — how locked in you are No more guessing. No more ā€œif I feel like it.ā€ Decide who you are…then move like it. Comment ā€œIDENTITYā€ if you’re locked in. šŸ”’Save this if you’re serious about your game.

Part 7: 8 Ways to Become UNGUARDABLE (No Athleticism Needed)
You don’t need crazy athleticism to be unguardable. Most players rely on speed… Smart players rely on control, angles, and timing. The best scorers: • Change pace • Read defenders • Stay under control That’s how you beat better athletes. Train smarter. Which one do you need to work on most? šŸ‘‡ Train like a pro. — Hinton Hoops

10 Mid-Range Drills That Make You UNSTOPPABLE (Wing → Short Corner)
If you can score from the mid-range… you’re impossible to guard. Why? Because defenses: • Take away the rim • Take away the 3 But they GIVE you this. Great players punish it every time. Master these spots. Which one are you adding to your game? šŸ‘‡ Train like a pro. - Hinton Hoops

Lateral Movements - Defense
Good Evening Guys, Sorry for the later than usual post, I was working and training today. Hope everyone had a great day and is enjoying their weekend! Had a few requests about lateral movements and improving on defense. So I comprised a list of drills that I used to help myself and that were performed in professional practices. They aren’t fun, they aren’t flashy, but they DO work. Get low, go fast, go hard. Reminder, you need to be doing shooting, dribbling, and conditioning daily. The offseason is where the biggest separation happens. How did everyone do in their shooting yesterday and today? Drop your results in the comments! Let’s get better this week! If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please reach out! What would you guys like to see next?
