Struggle
This is a PDR repair I did today for a wholesale account Crease was pretty deep + 2 shots on bodyline and a semi sharp ding I can't decide if I'm happy with the results or not, I'd say yes considering the initial damage and it is very ok for wholesale But after the first 2.5h and hurting my back I put the door on a stand and tried to finish it better for 2 more hours but I feel like I barely did anything better, maybe even worse somewhere and that's disappointing to me This is raw result no sanding whatsoever only a quick buff to get rid of marks

Really looks pretty flat all I see is a slight line just above the bottom bodyline which a bit of sanding and buffing would do. What I can see is plenty acceptable for wholesale.
Back to the battlefield
I returned to the scene of my first pdr crime. My first attempt at hail damage on an aluminum hood one year ago.I go back to it every once in a while to show myself how much I donโ€™t know and how far I have to go to become capable at this craft that I love. I got it a little bit better today.

That I think is one of the best ways of learning. Along with improving skills it's a great precursor to being able to handle others failed attempts.
Cold glue appreciation post
Thanks to @Terry Swanson encouraging me to get it I recently bought a cold glue set After being surprised by how well it sticks and blowing out a panel ๐Ÿซฃ Today I had the perfect opportunity to make it shine This is on the hailed Golf 8 but no hail related, those dents are caused by customer pushing on the trunk to close it so thankfully it's only shallow dents I took it slow, picked a lighter slide hammer and gave it a shot And wow, after only 3 minutes of pulling, not even touching a hammer it was already 80-90% improved ! I still struggle with blending so it took me a bit after that and it's not a 100% repair but it took me less than an hour total, no R&I, and its totally okay from customers view My set only includes big tabs so now I want to get smaller tabs too and I recommend you too ๐Ÿ˜œ

๐Ÿ™ I also think the hidden benefit will come in a natural progression in the abilities of improving blending.
Possible job
2024 Honda Pilot. Itโ€™s hard to get a good idea from the picture of the damage so Iโ€™m seeing it in person this weekend. I think there might be access through the taillight or something underneath the trim. Maybe cold glue to bring up the deepest part then push. What would you do to start it?

@Steven Arzapalo that's what I came to say great first move, then on to that big crown.
BIG WEEK, NEXT WEEK! โš”๏ธ
Tons of content incoming! Iโ€™ve been working hard behind the scenes, to get caught up, and produce a ton of demos and lessons. I hope you all are having an awesome week! Let me know what youโ€™re working on! Christian is glue-pulling a rail today. Tomorrow is the last day of training, before heading back to Switzerland! Now WORK HARD and GO BE GREAT! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿคœ๐Ÿค›๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค™
