Mentorship Assignment: How Do You Deal with Discouragement?
Let’s talk honestly today. Every creative. Every leader. Every builder. Every person who is trying to do something meaningful with their life will eventually face discouragement. There will be days when motivation disappears, when the excitement fades, and when the vision feels heavier than usual. But one of the most powerful things about this community is that we don’t have to face those moments alone. Your testimony, your strategy, your mindset, your faith, and your practical habits may be exactly what someone else in this group needs to hear today. So here’s today’s assignment: Tell us how you deal with discouragement. When you feel tired… When you feel unmotivated… When you feel like quitting… What helps you get back up? Do you pray? Do you take a break? Do you change your environment? Do you remind yourself of your purpose? Do you go back to the vision God gave you? Drop your answer in the comments and be honest. Your response might encourage someone else who is quietly fighting the same battle. Let’s help each other today. 💬

For me, discouragement usually shows up when I’m tired or when the weight of responsibility feels heavy. In those moments I’ve learned not to make emotional decisions. First, I go back to God. Prayer resets my perspective and reminds me that I’m not carrying the vision alone. If the Lord gave it to me, He will give me the strength to walk it out. Second, I remind myself of my purpose. I’ve seen too many seasons where God was ordering my steps — even the uncomfortable ones — for me to quit now. Sometimes obedience means continuing even when you don’t feel motivated. Practically, I may take a short break, get quiet, go for a walk, or return to the Word. Discipline carries me when motivation is low. And I remind myself of something I’ve been saying a lot lately: Consistency over comfort. God strengthens my discipline. Discouragement may visit, but it doesn’t get to make decisions for my life.

WE CAN'T KEEP WAITING....
(READ THIS ALOUD 3x) Can’t wait for people to acknowledge my dopeness when I already know that I’m dope. Can’t wait for somebody to give me an opportunity when I’ve got the mind, the hands, and the hunger to build my own. I’m not about to sit around hoping somebody notices what I’ve been carrying this whole time. If I can see it, if I can feel it, if it won’t let me sleep... then it’s real enough to move on. God didn’t put this in me for me to babysit it. Didn’t wire me like this just for me to be quiet, polite, and patient forever. At some point patience turns into hiding, and I’m not hiding anymore. This isn’t the season to keep telling myself “soon.” This is the season to start acting like it’s now. Not just one version of me either. Not just the preacher. Not just the pastor. Not just the revivalist. But the artist. The filmmaker. The fashion designer. The builder. All of it. I’m not called to be small just so people feel comfortable. I’m called to be whole. So here’s the line in the sand: No more waiting. No more shrinking. No more playing like this is a hobby. It’s time to become everything that’s already in me. I need EVERYBODY to TYPE “I’m done waiting."

I’m done waiting!
Welcome to Kingdom Lab.
This space is for people who don’t just want to be inspired, they want to build something that actually matters. People who care about impact, growth, and the kind of legacy that outlives trends. My heart for this community is simple: I want to develop a room full of Kingdom geniuses. Not just talented people, but disciplined thinkers, creative leaders, and builders who want to move culture forward and help shape the future. This is where faith, creativity, leadership, and execution come together. You’ll find conversations about fashion, communication, business, mentorship, impartation, activation, courses, and coaching... but none of it just for theory. This is about application. One thing I want to be clear about from day one: Don’t just be a consumer here. Be a contributor. Bring your ideas. Ask real questions. Add value. Encourage people. If you’re serious about growth… If you’re serious about impact… If you’re serious about becoming who you were created to be… You’re in the right place. Welcome to Kingdom Lab. Let’s get to work.
