30 Ways: Owwll
You give free advice every single day. Facebook group comments. Quick calls that turn into hour-long consultations. Expertise shared with strangers who never become clients. What if you got paid for it instead? Owwll is a pay-per-10 minutes phone call platform where you set your rate and get paid every time someone calls you for advice. But here's the part most people overlook β€” The business owners paying for advice on Owwll are the same business owners who need VA support. It's not just a way to get paid for what you know. It's a prospecting tool hiding in plain sight. Module 26 breaks down exactly how to set up your profile, what to charge, and how to use the platform to find your next client. Download the app and use code "VA" to get a $10 credit. @Nicole Watkins oh my goodness reading this post was a ride! I love the "until today" shift! congrats on the new client! I think those sprouts will bud sooner than you think. I just saw a post on Threads about how folks will wait 3 weeks and then all of a sudden they all come in on the same day πŸ˜…may your sprouts bloom 🀲🏽

hi! It's been a while since I dropped in on socials and in online spaces like this one, so here I am last minute-maria at the end of gemini season (my birthday season!) coming in hot & airy lol βœ… Have you made at least one new connection this month? yes! two! one signed for my initial session, find your flow (which I found out was copyrighted...copywritten? and want to choose a new name for) for this friday! yay βœ… Have you had a discovery call or a new inquiry come in? yes! one connection call which has now become this session I have on friday. also have my inbox open for opportunities that were like "in a month or two I'll touch base" kind of thing. not waiting around, just open for business! βœ… Is your profile still accurate - services, rates, contact info? just refreshed! find your flow is graduating from beta with this last first-run session, so prices are updated across the board. I also found an incredible new all-in-one platform which I will be building my website on and migrating my email list to. very exciting. also much more affordable than kajabi and built by an independent creator. help them get to 50+ users! https://interamnia.io/ βœ… Have you been actively prospecting enough that a business owner browsing would see you as someone who shows up? hmmm what a great question. I think so! my perfectionist tendencies would always say no, but I truly believe that for now & where I'm at/with my current capacity, what I have is enough for someone to see I'm active. grateful to be back here :)

The part of me that doesn't want to grow this part of my business lol. I'm wondering if anyone else experiences this, but as an MG in human design, a gemini x2 in my big three and mercury, ADHDer, I am blessed with MANY ideas for my business and sometimes find it hard to focus on just one. At the moment it just so happens to be the Virtual Assistant/Project Manager/OBM part of my business (really only need/want/have capacity for 2 more of these clients), but I do find myself toggling quite a bit and asking myself (and my biz coaches and besties) where I should focus next.
VAs: What’s one tool you recommend to every client?
We all have that one tool that instantly makes clients’ lives easier. The thing you end up suggesting on every kickoff call…Because it just works. Could be: - A project management tool - An automation app - A communication enhancer - A file-organization tool - A reporting dashboard - A scheduling system Drop it below: What’s the one tool you recommend to almost every client you work with? And bonus points β€” tell us why.

I think inadvertently kit.com for their emails cuz it also takes payments via stripe, it's easy for me to use, and if they have a small list it's free! Although if they don't already use Notion, I recommend it cuz it's easy for us to share files and work on drafts and content all while divesting from Google, which is something that is important for me and my clients. And if they don't already have a project management tool, I find myself recommending Asana or building one in something they currently use (may start building in Notion and creating client dashboards this way!) I know you said one but it's so hard to choose lolol. I also love project management, so it's one of my pieces of tech to both recommend and set up!
Fellow VAs: along the lines of finding potential clients
Where are you looking for potential clients and where did you find your current ones online? For the offline question, which @Chastity Cortijo posted, I will sometimes go to small businesses that feel like a fit in person, either in their shop or at a market, and just talk story/connect/see what the business is about. Online I go to communities like this one, directories, Threads, and IG. Still don't know about LinkedIn lol. But yeah, how are you navigating the lead generation bit? thank you!!

@Chastity Cortijo I love this, thank you, Chastity! I've been trying this on Threads and it's been really helpful in ways I wasn't expecting. first it like validates my work/offers (that are a little bit outside of the VA scope but lead into it) in many ways cuz folks ask questions and I actually *do* have answers and a method. and secondly, I've been making real connections and tomorrow have a preliminary call for a podcast interview! and I found you on Threads so it's really breathing new life into social media for me. thank you for this!
