Lesson 1: Three areas to tighten up: 1. Maintaining a consistent practice schedule across both my primary instrument and additional skills I’m working on. 2. Giving my 100% all in attention and effort to situations were half effort would still outperform for the situation (IE full pro consistently event when it might not make a visible difference in that particular situation) 3. Commit to dialing in tones, sounds, pedals, and gear for local shows. Lesson 2: What “Ready” Looks like: - Great sounding, well maintained, reliable gear (Extras on hand for repair/replacement). - Be able to execute the music at a high level prior to first rehearsal. - Understanding of nature of the assignment, logistics, travel, lodging, call times, and personnel. - Understand hierarchy of leadership and event coordination. - Identify appropriate ways to add additional value and when it may be appropriate to action.
