@Marc Caouette I did use half lap joints on the stretchers, biscuits on the ring on the table top. 5" screws were used to attach the legs to the streachers and counter sunk about 1/2" then plugged.

@Rich Murphy I do and I did. Between 6 & 8% it's just a lot of lumber.

๐Ÿ”ง What Tool Do You Have the Most Trouble Using? (Win $100 Gift Card!)
Some tools just donโ€™t cooperate, no matter how much you practice. Maybe itโ€™s that tricky hand plane that never cuts quite right, the table saw that always feels intimidating, or the tool you just canโ€™t seem to get the hang of. Share the tool that gives you the most trouble โ€” and why โ€” in the comments below! ๐Ÿ† Prize: $100 Sawinery Gift Card (aka guilt-free tool money ๐Ÿ˜) ๐Ÿ“… Winner announced on September 22!

My band saw. Changing and adjusting the blade for each purpose is a pain. Getting one off and unthreaded, twisting it back up to store it, then reverse the process with a new size blade. Urghh. Then resetting the guides and tracking. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Once everything is done I love the cut and ease of use. I hate getting it dialed in.

@Lisa Nicholson I can't either every time I turn it on I expect a meltdown of some kind. I'm surprised when it works.

This is my current project a few days from completion. Cedar table. 48" top. 4x4 legs, stretchers, it's taken nearly 2 months to get to this point. Hopefully to be completed in the next 2 days
Last full completed project
Wife wanted a small kitchen island and I completed this. Frame in English pine, top and shelves are Southern Yellow pine. Top is Sho Shogi-ban with a transparent stain. Height matches countertop to allow more work area and is on 4" casters.
