MOTS-C or 5-Amino?
I'm not loving MOTS-C, should I try 5-Amino? I'm struggling with energy and I feel like I'm very inflamed with the MOTS-C.

@Christy White that is so interesting! I have never heard that! I wonder if @Tara West could weigh in on that? Have you ever tried KPV? That one has been so helpful for me across the board and hear others say the same!

@Arlene Wells I’m doing 50mg 5 days on 2 off per Tara’s NAD+ podcast. I worked up to 50 slowly from 25 mg but the regularity of the 5 days has been great for me. I have read in other places that it is good to do 4-6 weeks of a loading phase which is 30-50mg daily or 5 days for 4-6 weeks and then can move towards an e/o day or 3 days a week schedule. I’m loving the 50 mg right now though. Lots of great not stimulating energy and lots of mental clarity. Mood has been great as well.
FOX04
Hello! Just curious if anyone has tried FOX04. I’m tempted but have heard it can be painful. Thanks!

I’ve never tried it but was thinking about doing it this summer. I’ve heard good things but I’ve never heard it’s painful! Painful how? GHK-cu burn? Most painful injections I have done glute IM and never have an issue at all!!
Reta
Curious about trying Reta but concerned about side effects. I was diagnosed 8-9 years ago with gastroparesis. Struggled with constipation for a long time but have spent several years helping my gut and now have daily bowel movements. I don’t want to mess that up. My fasting insulin is below 1 and A1C is below 5. I’ve had a hard time losing 8-10lbs my BMI is around 27-28% I have strong sugar cravings. Eat 130-140g of protein and very little processed foods. Strength train 4-5x per week and get around 10k steps per day. Anyone have insight or suggestions. I

Just my opinion based on my own experience but it’s sounds like given your nutrition and exercise habits you are someone that would have success given that you have the important components in place. I do hear lots of people say that GLP-1s cause constipation for them and even gastroparesis in extreme cases, but for me it has done the opposite. I have struggled for years with constipation but starting Tirz originally and then switching at Reta has fixed that for me completely. I am now completely regular. It has been wonderful and constipation is never an issue! Definitely one of many benefits I wasn’t expecting! I would say just start a super low dose and pay very close attention to your regularity. Also, make sure you are drinking tons of water and using electrolytes. Reta has made me less thirsty so I have to be more intentional about meeting my daily water goal than I have ever been. Good luck!!
Price
Can someone tell me how much the hair, skin and nails is? I have a girlfriend interested and don’t recall the cost. Thanks!

@Shawna Fenwick I have definitely noticed growth in terms of length. People are actually commenting on how long it’s getting so I think it’s growing more quickly. I haven’t noticed change in thickness or new hair growth yet. My nail person has also been commenting on how strong my nails are and how quickly they are growing. I always have them done so she checks to see if they are getting weaker and tells me when to take a break and she just said the other day that she couldn’t believe that they were just not getting weaker at all! My skin is also feeling really soft and I’m not currently on a cycle of GHK-cu so I definitely think it is related to this blend.

Sorry to hear about your hair incident. That sounds so painful!!!!
GLP1 break
If you were to take a break from Reta or trizepitide for 4-6 weeks what would us take to keep the weight off in the interim? MotsC and maybe cagrilintide only if hunger is really powerful? I don’t hear many people Getting much from Aod so maybe not that?

So, @Giddyup H, my understanding on both of those is that Tesofensine impacts your neurotransmitters so for some people with certain brain chemistry and can be amazing and they love it, for others, with different levels of brain chemistry it isn’t great. I think you would just need to start at a really low dose and see how you feel. I do know that Orforglipron works on entirely different receptors than Tirz or Reta. I could be wrong about this but I want to say it’s not actually a peptide so it doesn’t operate the same way at all. For that reason lots of people use it when they want to give their receptors a break but continue with their progress or maintain the additional health benefits they are receiving from a GLP-1.

@Giddyup H I think it is a GLP but it’s a small molecule and not a peptide which is why it holds up in the pill form but works on different pathways in the body to create the same effects as the GLP peptides.
