Hi Susan, so I have just begun my journey of making quilts. Sadly my Mother-In-Law, Vicki, passed away last year 😔. I had no idea I was inheriting her craft room, but I did. I have Everything I need now. Plus I just bought a quilt top machine by Baby Lock and frame. Both are still in the box. I’ve made a few quilts for Christmas and now I’m starting to make more. 😁. The Pinwheel blanket is in progress and once back up on the wall I see my mistakes. But after I finish it and put it on my lap, all will be forgiven lol. Here is a picture of a Flag quilt I made a few years ago out of men’s shirts from the goodwill. The quality of nice fabric at such a low price was amazing.

@Alyson Mark welcome Alyson, sounds like you make some cool things!
Be honest... what's the oldest piece of fabric in your stash?
I do actually have a couple of pieces of antique fabric, but I also have lots of older fabrics that I have been reluctant to use as I wouldn't have them any more! Do you older fabrics, we would love to hear about them.

I inherited my mother-in-law‘s sewing room and many of her fabrics have the sales tag still on them. A few date back to 1989. One tip I learned online was to add desiccant silica gel packs to the plastic totes to keep the material fresh. So far so good. 👍
