Menopause & Intimacy
Biblically, intimacy is much deeper than physical closeness. In scripture, intimacy means to be fully known. In Genesis, when it says a husband ‘knew’ his wife, it meant emotional, spiritual, and physical connection. It means being seen, understood, and safe with each other. Intimacy is not just touch… it’s being fully known and fully loved. Getting involved in her world What creates intimacy for me in this season is when my husband wants to help find solutions — instead of feeling like he’s part of the problem. Support = intimacy. As husbands, there are 2 choices. Step back and say ‘she’s crazy’ or ‘she’s just hormonal’… step forward and create a safe place. REMEMBER HUSBANDS- A husband who gets involved becomes part of the solution, not part of the stress. Menopause doesn’t have to divide a marriage — it can actually strengthen it. Real intimacy is partnership. Let's KEEP doing this journey together.

Mrs. Tina, this was beautiful to watch. Thank you for sharing such honesty and wisdom. The reminder that intimacy is about being truly known, supported, and safe with one another really resonated with me. Seeing the way you and your husband speak about partnership during this season is powerful. It shows that love isn’t just about the easy moments. It’s about choosing understanding, patience, and presence when things shift. It’s my sincere prayer that this kind of love, compassion, and partnership finds its way to me as well. A love where we both seek solutions and create a space where we both can be fully seen. Thank you again for the encouragement and the example. It was deeply meaningful. 😊

Mrs. Tina, do you recommend protein shakes, juices, or smoothies when we don’t feel like eating? I, often, have days when I’m hungry but for whatever reason, I don’t want to eat or mind is telling me not to eat. My mind and body are in a conflict.
Stay Off The Scale/ Menopause
During this phase, your body weight can fluctuate 2–6 pounds in a single week from things that have nothing to do with fat: • Estrogen shifts → water retention • Progesterone changes → bloating • Cortisol spikes → holding fluid • Inflammation from workouts • Poor sleep → higher scale weight • Digestion slowing • Sodium/carbs from normal meals None of that is fat gain. When hormones are changing, the scale: Creates false discouragement Triggers over-restriction Raises cortisol Makes women abandon good programs too early Which ironically slows fat loss even more. Better progress markers in menopause ✔ How clothes fit ✔ Waist measurement (monthly) ✔ Strength increasing ✔ Energy levels ✔ Sleep quality ✔ Body composition photos ✔ Reduced bloating ✔ Mood stability

This post explains the reasons I lost my weight loss challenge. I was gaining weight but thought I was doing everything right. Everyone thought I was binge eating and not taking the challenge seriously. 😭 I was so embarrassed.
Menopause, Belly fat & Protein
During menopause your body becomes more insulin sensitive. Protein and vegetables keep insulin stable, while heavy starches spike it — and that spike is what drives fat storage around the waist. Lean toward meals like this: Salmon , avocado and saute spinach. Tofu, avocado, and broccoli. Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, avocado and black beans. You're welcome!

Thank you! I blame those potatoes that I think I must have with every meal 😭. I love the recommended meal choices. I’ve never eaten tofu. I will try it.
