VoiceDrop
If you haven’t tried VoiceDrop extension for Skool, it’s worth checking out. I’ve used it myself, and the audio is good and clear, and it’s really simple to use. 🎙️ There’s been some updates recently, too. You can now pause and resume recordings, which is great for me bc sometimes my brain just…pauses and there’s an awkward silence lol. A waveform while you’re recording was added, and you can move the recording window around without worrying about accidentally closing it- which I find helpful for reading a script I’ve typed for myself. Literally only $7/year right now - crazy! I did speak with @Glenn Summers (the creator) and he assured me he hasn’t lost his mind, the price will be going up soon - especially once the mobile version I need comes out 😂 Thankfully I’m locked in at the $7/year 😁😁😁 Get it here 👇 https://www.voicedrophq.com/voicedrop-me

Pause and resume is a really practical update Missi. I laughed at the awkward silence when your brain pauses, that happens to me too when I am recording. Being able to move the window around while reading a script sounds very handy 🎙️
Just because you’re ALLOWED to promote doesn’t mean people are going to click! 👀
If you’re sharing your Skool community, freebie, or offer in promotional groups, here are a few tips to get more eyes on it AND give people a reason to check it out. 💡 1. STOP writing novels. People are scrolling. Get to the point! You don’t need five paragraphs to explain what you’re offering. 💡 2. Your HOOK matters. That first sentence needs to stop the scroll. Lead with a problem, a desire, or something that makes them curious enough to keep reading. 💡 3. Make it about THEM, not YOU. People aren’t clicking because you launched a community or created a course. They’re clicking because they believe it can help THEM. 💡 4. Answer these 3 questions. ✔️ Who is this for? ✔️ What will they get? ✔️ How will it help them? 💡 5. Give them ONE clear next step. Don’t overcomplicate it. Tell them why they should click and give them the link! And here’s a BONUS tip! 💰 Don’t just drop your link and disappear. Engage with people. Build connections. Be someone people actually WANT to learn from. You can promote here DAILY, but remember… Visibility gets you seen. Your MESSAGE gets people interested. 👇🏽 Want a little practice? Drop the HOOK you’re currently using to promote your community or offer below. Let’s help each other make them stronger!

The who, what and how checklist is a handy one Jennifer, and I really like the reminder to stop writing novels. Cutting a post down to what the reader actually gets is a habit I am still practising 🙌

Free recipe: Pumpkin Spice Overnight Oats (21g protein) 🎃
It's pumpkin season, so here's one of my favorite make-ahead breakfasts. Tastes like pumpkin pie and has 21g of protein. Makes 2 jars: - 1 cup rolled oats - 1 cup unsweetened plant milk - 1/2 cup dairy-free Greek-style yogurt - 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling) - 2 tbsp chia seeds - 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup - 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 tsp vanilla, pinch of salt Stir it all together, split into 2 jars and chill overnight. In the morning, top with toasted pecans, hemp hearts, diced apple and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Make 4 jars on Sunday and breakfast is done through Thursday. Want more recipes like this? The make 4 jars on Sunday tip is a lifesaver Nadia, I love a breakfast that is already sorted before the week gets busy. The pumpkin puree and chia combo sounds really cosy 🎃
Why my community is called How I
I opened How I on Monday last week. Here's where the name came from: • I usually like names that say what people want. My other project grew on LinkedIn that way: its page commented on posts, and people clicked on the name. For now, I'm the one showing up, so the name can be simple • I love how-to guides, but "How I" carries the experience of the person who did it • I plan all my posts to start with "How I" • Said out loud, with my Brazilian accent, it sounds like "Hawaii" Clear, not clever. 15 members so far. What's the story behind your community's name? Come build along in How I. ✌️

Clear, not clever is a great way to put it Adal, and the Hawaii pronunciation made me smile 😄 A name that tells people what they will get is easy to remember and easy to pass on.
