Hello
I am just starting my 5 day challenge. I am married with 2 grown children, one married, one not. I live in a beautiful place in southern British Columbia, Canada. Winters are usually without snow, although it can be overcast, which keeps the temperature about freezing and higher. Summers are hot. Love our area.
Insight
Day 1 Biggest insight: How the full report connected what I said to give me a picture of who I am and why. My open loop is: Complete HOG (Home Owner Grant) One word for how I feel right now: Numb (Need to assimilate what the full report cited)

The Thing That Finally Got Me Working on My Clutter
I've been a little absent from posting and commenting here the past couple of weeks because some really stressful things have been going on. But I've been trying to keep up with the program and work on my Rocks, even if it doesn't feel like I've made enough progress yet. One of my Rocks is clutter, and getting myself to START is the hard part. Unless I have a deadline, it's really tough for me to get things done. I think this ties into being a Sacral Generator (according to Sage), which means I need something to respond to. So even though I honestly didn't get the concept of body doubling at first (how would working at the same time as someone else actually help me?), I decided to try it yesterday. I did 2 sessions... and the first one inspired me to keep going afterward, so I worked on the clutter almost right up until the second session! What a difference it made. If I'd been on my own schedule, I would have found a hundred other things to do. But something about being accountable to other people really works for me. Have you tried body doubling yet? What was your experience? Were you skeptical at first like me, or did you dive right in? I'd love to hear what worked (or didn't) for you!

Wow, that sounds like a real great motivator. Congratulations on everything each one of you managed to complete. Accountability does spur one on.!
Hidden cost
Section 2 of my Snapshot just hit different. I always called it quitting, but I finally see the pattern - I step away from my own dreams the moment someone else needs me, because being needed feels safer than risking failure at something that's actually mine. Naming that changed something.

Linda you are a servant and helper at heart. Lord bless you.💌
5 foot woman
I don’t think I will ever understand people. I was at a funeral today and there were lots of people there standing by the graveside. My dad was on the cart that took him to the grave but I had his walker (as they couldn’t fit it on the cart). I was behind so many people standing on the path as the grass was wet and muddy. I had to walk through the graves awkwardly carrying the walker to get to the cart and get my dad near to the grave. So many people just stared at this 5 foot (1.52m tall) woman walking between graves trying to carry a walker, and my skirt got caught on the walker so I might have been showing my knickers as well, without falling head first into a muddy puddle. Not one person moved out of the way or offered me help. If I see anyone struggling or needing help I go and ask if I can assist them, it’s just the way I am.

I am sorry you experienced that. Unfortunately most people just think about themselves. There are only a few that think about others. I applaud your helpfulness and generous heart. It's difficult to see, but know you were doing what was right. 💌
