Did you know… 🌿
Most of us were taught to think like this: 👉 “This symptom = this solution.” Headache → take this Fever → lower it Cough → suppress it That way of thinking didn’t come from herbalism. It came from pharmaceuticals. Herbs don’t work like that. They don’t just target a symptom…they support what the body is already trying to do. So instead of asking: 👉 “What herb do I take for this?” We begin asking: 👉 “What is the body trying to do right now?” A fever isn’t just something to bring down. A cough isn’t just something to stop. Discomfort isn’t always something to silence. Sometimes the body is: - moving something out - warming itself up to fight something off - asking for support, not suppression This doesn’t mean there’s no place for medicine. It just means it’s not always the first step. 🌿 In this space, we’re learning how to: observe first understand what’s happening then choose how to support 💬 I’m curious… What’s one symptom you’ve always been taught to “fix” right away?

Coughs. My husband gets irritated by the kids coughing when they got colds. I'd rather keep them hydrated or offer them a herbal tea than get the doctor to check them for chest infections. Most times illnesses clear up in a couple of weeks, and the body can do it without Antibiotics.
Just wanted to share a personal experience with fevers.
One day I thought I only had a low-grade fever. My throat felt a little off earlier, so I sipped some herbal tea. Later I felt unusually tired—not sick, just needing to relax. So I made myself a cozy corner, ate soup and continued to drink my go to remedy. Then I noticed I was cold but warm to the touch. Out of curiosity, I checked my temperature, and it was fluctuating a lot—jumping between 99.7 and 102.3! What surprised me most was that I didn’t feel miserable or panicked. I felt calm, like my body was doing exactly what it needed to do. By the next morning, the fever was completely gone. This is ONE of the many experiences that really shaped how I understand fevers, herbs, and the body’s healing process. Most of us were never shown what the body’s healing process can look or feel like in real life. But while using herbs, the body speaks louder and I'm here to share this with you all. Has your experience with fevers ever looked different than what you expected?

I only got into listening to the body and working with fevers, when I had my children. My first child had most of her jabs in the first 13 months, tho I had been reluctant to get her " immunised". I was questioning the standard understanding of the immune system approach, yet it wasn't till my other two children were born, that I was more confident to work with the body and let the children use their fevers to get well. When you see that a child can manage being unwell without resorting to Calpol or antibiotics, it changes your connection to your childs health. Your also helping them to know their own body too. It's somewhat liberating too, that your not dependant on doctors for things that you have every right to sort out for yourself so easily.
🌿 Something important I want you to know as you learn here
Lately, I’ve realized that much of what I know about herbs didn’t come from books or classes—they simply gave language and confidence to what I already intuitively understood. That means what I’m teaching here isn’t just information. You’re not just joining a community—you’re learning from someone with a natural understanding of the body and herbs that goes beyond textbook rules. My goal here is simple: to help you unlearn unnatural habits and reconnect with your own intuitive understanding of wellness. I’m grateful you’re here with me. 💛

Why I Don’t Use OTCs at the First Sign of a Fever
This is a conversation I wish more parents felt safe having. I don’t reach for over-the-counter fever reducers at the first sign of a fever—not because I’m anti-medicine, but because I’ve learned what happens when a fever is immediately suppressed. It’s been over 8 years since I’ve had to rely on OTCs—not because I forced myself to avoid them, but because supporting the body first made them unnecessary. I wrote more deeply about this perspective on Medium, which I’ll link below for those who want the full context. Inside this community, we’ll unpack why this works, what to observe instead of panic, and how to respond calmly and intentionally when a fever shows up. https://medium.com/@audaciouscraze/rethinking-fevers-why-over-the-counter-isnt-always-the-first-answer-9502621de4d0

For the past 8 to 10 years I haven't given my kids Calpol. I myself haven't had anything for fevers for many years. Im not afraid to use the fever to help the body to detox and rebalance
