🌿 Did You Know?
Summer naturally brings more heat and dryness. That means many of us benefit from herbs that help cool, moisten, and nourish the body rather than using the same herbs year-round. For example: 🌱 Marshmallow Root supports moisture throughout the digestive tract. 🌾 Milky Oats gently nourishes the nervous system, especially when life feels overstimulating. 🍃 Lemon Balm is one of my favorite summer herbs because it supports digestion while bringing a gentle sense of calm for both children and adults. Instead of asking: "What herb do I need for this symptom?" I encourage you to ask: "How can I support my body during this season?" That one question shifts your focus from chasing symptoms to supporting the body's natural rhythms. If you'd like to learn more about why I chose these herbs, the organs I focus on during the summer, and how to prepare them as refreshing cold infusions, I put everything together in my blog: 🌿 The Simple Summer Time Herbs You Never Knew About https://audaciouscraze.com/2025/08/herbs-for-the-summer-time-wellness/

🌿 Quick Question
When someone in your family starts feeling sick, what's the first thing you usually reach for? No judgment. Just curious.

Have You Been Taught This?
Most parents think a dangerous fever is one that's too high. But here's what changed how I think about fevers completely. A fever doesn't become dangerous because it's high. It becomes dangerous when it gets STUCK. Think of it like a pot of boiling water. The boiling is doing a job — killing bacteria, activating immune cells, doing exactly what the body designed it to do. The problem isn't the boiling. The problem is when there's no vent for the steam to escape. Pressure builds. It boils over. That's a stuck fever. Heat trapped in the head, no circulation, no sweating, child miserable and climbing higher. The goal was never to stop the boil. It was always to keep the steam moving. Those that have dealt with fevers, have you supported them in the healthy stage or waited till the fever temp increased to react?

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Motherhood comes with so many decisions… especially when it comes to our children’s health. The moments when they don’t feel well The moments when we’re unsure what to do The moments when we’re trying to stay calm while figuring it out Those moments matter. And how we respond in those moments… matters too. Today, I just want to honor you. For caring. For learning. For choosing to do things differently for your family. You’re doing better than you think 🌿

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Did you know… 🌿
Most of us were taught to think like this: 👉 “This symptom = this solution.” Headache → take this Fever → lower it Cough → suppress it That way of thinking didn’t come from herbalism. It came from pharmaceuticals. Herbs don’t work like that. They don’t just target a symptom…they support what the body is already trying to do. So instead of asking: 👉 “What herb do I take for this?” We begin asking: 👉 “What is the body trying to do right now?” A fever isn’t just something to bring down. A cough isn’t just something to stop. Discomfort isn’t always something to silence. Sometimes the body is: - moving something out - warming itself up to fight something off - asking for support, not suppression This doesn’t mean there’s no place for medicine. It just means it’s not always the first step. 🌿 In this space, we’re learning how to: observe first understand what’s happening then choose how to support 💬 I’m curious… What’s one symptom you’ve always been taught to “fix” right away?

@Sylv Davies Thank you for your comment! Coughs are a big one that people want to just get rid of, not knowing coughs are actually trying to get rid something that may be stuck in the chest or throat. You're right to support this process instead of suppressing cause suppressing could definitely make that cough linger and yes this could lead to infections as the cough becomes unproductive.
