Why are you invisible?
A friend of mine told me, "Eileen, you're like a guinea pig. You want to be cuddled but when someone's trying to grab you so they can hold you, you run around trying to escape. Guinea pigs run around like they're prey. You're not letting yourself be fully seen because when you were growing up, you were prey." Click. I was. That was the house I grew up in so being seen was unpredictable, it hurt, it wasn't safe. That's MY subconscious pattern. I hide as soon as someone sees me. It's come up over and over in my life. When I sent my first 5,000 words of my book to my coach who is a 23x best selling author. She replied, "You're onto something. Maybe you got the next 50 shades of..." (no, I'm not that genre of author but the opening line of, "Derek, get the vibrators off the table, it's time for supper" got her attention.) Did I ever tell you that my parents owned two s3x shops when I was growing up? True story. Anyway. As soon as she wrote that to me, I stopped writing. I.STOPPED.WRITING. Who does that?! Someone who, when she gets picked out of a crowd, thinks it's going to hurt. So whenever I was celebrated, complimented, recognized, I shrank. Even on my birthday. If we're hiding from being seen, there's a reason. There's a pattern that keeps repeating and every moment we shrink someone less qualified than you is enrolling your client. Who else here has ever had the thought, "man, I've been doing this so much longer, how come they're getting all the clients?!" I thought it for a very long time. ...until I started to open my mouth and be seen the way that worked for me and started to create the clients I was meant to work with. Next week, on June 18th at 10am eastern in The ShiftShow we're identifying what your fear of being seen is really about. See you there. xo

Good read!
Making Connections That Actually Matter
Thanks to @Justin Yip for this idea of Member-to-Member Intros + Network Growth. This is all about introducing members to each other when we see real potential. It’s not about collecting contacts, it’s about knowing people who get what you do and can help you make more impact. I meet a lot of people through this community, which is great, and I get to chat to a lot of you, and I spot opportunities where energy matches. When I see that, I’ll make the intro right here. Because growth doesn’t happen alone and it sure doesn’t happen hidden behind community walls. We are also planning to bring a weekly networking call to this community to help with your connections and growth, helping you bring in some collabing and cross pollination for growth.
