Before you head to the galleries… step into the pub. 🍻✨
One of my favourite little moments in London wasn’t inside a museum at all. It was walking into The Admiralty in Trafalgar Square and taking in all the history, the atmosphere, the woodwork, the brass, the stories hidden in the walls. 🥰 For many of you from across the pond, a traditional British pub is something you’ve only ever seen in films, so I thought I’d bring you along with me. It’s a lovely reminder that creativity isn’t confined to galleries or studios. Sometimes it’s in the architecture, the design, the signs above the bar, the conversations, the worn wooden tables, and the centuries of stories a place quietly holds. Curiosity has a funny way of rewarding us when we look beyond what we expected to find. So here’s a little peek inside one of London’s iconic pubs. I hope it feels like you’ve stepped through the door with me. 🇬🇧❤️ Have you ever found inspiration somewhere completely unexpected? I’d love to hear where. 🥰 https://youtu.be/XtSDrvysSTk?is=NPxmAfdRs_rN5DEq

Ahh, I miss the good ol’ Blighty pub 🍺 We have taverns or bars here (in Oz) they’re good but definitely not the same.
Peru 🇵🇪
I really got into Peru this week! What started as one sketch turned into two sketches and even a poem. 🙈 The colours completely drew me in rich reds, turquoise blues and warm earthy tones everywhere I looked. 🙌🏻 That’s what I love about Around the World in 80 Sketches. Sometimes a place doesn’t just inspire a picture, it sparks a whole page of creativity. ❤️ Colours of Peru ❤️💜💙💛💚 High in the mountains, where colours run deep, The earth tells stories it has chosen to keep. Bands of turquoise, ochre, crimson and gold, Layers of culture, history and folklore untold. Somewhere beyond the clouds, I like to think Paddington began his journey with a hopeful wink. A small bear from Peru, with a suitcase in hand, Carrying kindness from this remarkable land. And as I sit and sketch beneath the vast blue sky, I find that colour speaks when words pass by.

Creative Doesn’t Always Look Like a Paintbrush 🎨
Today was full of creativity… just not all in the obvious ways. 🧐 We went out and bought lots of beautiful bedding plants for the garden, so I’ve been knee-deep in compost and pansies. 🌸 💗 I took this picture below of my handsome boy Reggie and completely changed the background in Photoshop. This evening I’ve been editing some footage I took at the beach the other day. 🏖️☀️ And come to think of it… I got creative in the kitchen too and made pizzas with a yummy salad. 🍕 I love days like these. Variety keeps things interesting, but it’s also a lovely reminder that creativity doesn’t only live in drawing or painting. It can show up in gardens, kitchens, cameras, ideas, and all the little ways we shape a day. 📷🧑‍🍳🪏 A smidgen of creativity can be found almost anywhere if you look for it. 🫶🏻💜 Where did your creativity show up today ? Or was it taking a day off ? Which is obvs ok too 🙌🏻💜 Oh there’s also a picture of the sunsetting this evening. Will get pic of the garden tomorrow 👌

🖼️ I need my creativity to slow down 😂 so many ideas, so little time 🙄 I’m working on about 4 different tutorials at the same time 🌪️ Oh and I’m helping my husband make a curry for dinner, that’s creative right? 😋

Isn’t it curious…
The more we look, the more the world seems to echo itself. A nebula in the vastness of space… Looks strangely like the iris of a human eye.👁️ The death of a star… ⭐ Mirrors the moment a cell divides and life begins. The branching patterns inside our lungs… 🫁 🌳 Look almost identical to the roots and limbs of trees reaching into the earth. It’s as if nature is quietly repeating the same language everywhere. From the smallest cell To the largest galaxies. Different scales… Same patterns. A gentle reminder perhaps that we’re not separate from the universe at all. We are part of it. ✨💜 Made of the same dust, the same rhythms, the same beautiful designs. And when you pause and notice it… the world suddenly feels a little more magical.

So true, love nature. Here’s a river system we flew over, at low tide, last year. Similar patterns to the lungs/trees, hey?

@Kate Bullock we were flying to the Horizontal Falls up near Cape Levêque in Western Australia. An amazing experience.
Show me something in your home that says you’re a creative… 🎨
I’ll go first! Honestly, my house might be the answer 🙈 There are paintbrushes drying by the sink, leaves in jars waiting to be painted, tools and sketching bits scattered across my desk, and little stacks of paper hanging up ready to become something. Even my fridge seems to end up storing art supplies occasionally 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 And then there’s the giant octopus on the wall keeping watch over it all. It’s a bit chaotic, a bit colourful, and very lived-in but that’s how creativity often looks. Not perfect… just full of ideas waiting to happen. Now it’s your turn 👀 Show me something in your home that says you’re a creative. It could be: • a messy desk • a favourite notebook • your tools or materials • a half-finished project • or even a corner where you like to think Pop a photo below and let’s have a little wander through each other’s creative worlds. 🖌️

@Kate Bullock completely agree, it’s the taking part that counts. Honestly, I feel like a winner just for putting my work forward 🎉 What happens now is in the lap of the gods (aka the judges) 😂
