Member Spotlight - Look What Gayle Did! 🧶
Meet @Gayle Lunau Sherman, one of our MkH members who started as a complete beginner and despite not having the correct accessories for the machine she's been loaned and the machine itself not in a pristine condition Gayle knitted her first rows. Gayle almost gave up on their machine before reaching out, the wrong tension mast for the machine was playing havoc with her stitches! We spent some One-2-One time going through the basics, and now look at this! It's a win ❤️ Gayle could have easily packed it all away, but she didn't — and we couldn't be prouder. This is just the start for Gayle! This is exactly why we do what we do. Every "I can't do this" can become an "I made this." If Gayle's story sounds familiar, you're in the right place. 💛 Tag a fellow maker who needs to see this, or share your own progress below — we'd love to celebrate you too.

Knit Together #1 — Community Post
Our first ever Knit Together is coming up, and it also marks 3 months to the day since Machine Knitting Hub began! 🎉 This one's a premium member perk — the Mock Rib Scarf pattern is now live in the dynamic pattern library in the classroom. Getting ready is simple: 1. Choose some yarn suitable for your machine type. 2. Do a tension swatch — instructions are in the classroom here: Tension Swatch Guide ⭐ Once you've done your swatch, the pattern automatically adjusts to suit your yarn. Premium members: bring a smile and your machine on Monday 10th August at 8pm UK time — check the calendar for your time zone. No pressure to knit the Mock Rib Scarf specifically — if you're already mid-project, bring that along instead. It's about knitting together, not knitting the same thing. Not a premium member yet and want in on the next one? Click here for the benefits of joining premium at the founders rate.. Can't wait to cast on together for the first time. 💛

@Jan Appleton thank you
New Pattern: Mock Rib Scarf 🧣
Hello lovely knitters! I'm so pleased to share my newest pattern with you — the Mock Rib Scarf. It's a gorgeous one, and honestly one of the most relaxing knits I've done in a while. Just a simple mock rib needle arrangement, an e-wrap cast-on, and approx 600 rows of gently rhythmic knitting later, you've got yourself a beautifully textured scarf with real weight and drape. I've finished mine off with a fringe at both ends — using the gate pegs to keep everything level — and I have to say, fringe is having a real moment right now, so this one feels properly of-the-moment as well as timelessly useful. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗗𝗙 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 is available now, with full instructions, the needle arrangement diagram, and everything you need to cast on today. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 — you also get the dynamic version, where you just pop in your own tension swatch and it recalculates your stitch count, row count, and finished size for you. No maths, no guesswork, just knit. Head to the classroom to grab whichever version suits you, and as always, I'd love to see your makes in the community feed. Happy knitting!

Love the colour
I did the scary thing (finally!)
Well, I've finally done something I've been meaning to do for years — I've posted my first video on YouTube. Honestly, I've been scared to for so long — fear of failure, trolls, imposter syndrome, finding the time... you name it, it's held me back. But I've gone and done it anyway, and I'd love to know what you think. I'll admit, I'm a little embarrassed putting it out there. But constructive feedback isn't a bad thing — I'm learning the ropes, so to speak, and this feels like a good place to do it. https://youtu.be/KfE4D3nLTIQ
