Ongoing Communication
Hey all, I want to keep our group together as much as you would like to be together to share wins continually. I wanted to see what the best place to connect going forward is. Skool is an additional cost each month, so I was going to use a free resource for us until the next challenge. I was thinking either Discord, a Facebook community, or an Instagram community. Anybody have any recommendations or preferences? Want to do what's best for the community

Facebook Group is probably the most appropriate although may require moderation.
The Trials of Travel
I landed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday. Didn’t do so well with sticking to the diet on the day of travel! 😣 Always difficult to stick to a high protein diet when I can’t cook my own food. So I did the wrong thing and didn’t eat for most of the day then I was so hungry that I ate ALL the wrong things! Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk, moving on and back to better meals today (as soon as I find a place to buy the filleted chicken breasts that I usually cook). At least I have found eggs, so that will get me back on track for now. I have also registered to play in some social games on Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon - so 6 hours of pickleball planned for today! YES!!!

Travel is hard. Just do the best you can.
Body Fat % DOWN more than it's been in 2 years!
I had been logging, lifting, and pickleballing with precision. My weight loss stalled a bit. Coming off WAY too slow. I was bummed. My trainer suggested I weigh in with his InBody scanner and as it turns out....DRUMROLL...I actually dropped 3.5% of my BODY FAT and my muscle mass WENT UP. So screw the prize. I'm already WINNING. The scale NEVER tells the whole story, kids! My clothes fit looser and I am feeling strong. Faster on the court! Celebrated by buying myself a new RPM Q2. 🥰🥰🥰
For the middle-aged ladies among us!
For all you ladies out there in the 45-55 range, our progress may look different! Please keep going! This might be a 60 day challenge but true progress is a long-game. At 50, I've been plugging away for years. My goal this time is to drop my body fat percentage a bit. But my blood work is CLEAN. That's from consistency in exercise. I hang onto that every time I think about giving up. We got this! 💪

So far it's going great. Clothes fit better. I can see the difference. Lost about 8 lbs total.
Diet Fatigue is REAL
I've been crushing it lately but had I camped overnight with my daughter's scout troop. I was bored and inhaled almost a whole bag of pickle flavored potato chips. Processed food is designed for overconsumption. Those bastards! 😆 But I tracked those chips anyways. I didn't play as much last week on top of it. My calorie deficit averaged 375 instead of 500 but it's a win because I still stuck to it. I lost less but I did lose. Diet fatigue is real. Sometimes you want to just eat freely without the confines of weighing and measuring but for me, I can't be trusted when I'm bored around processed delicious junk food. Fortunately, no more campouts until September! 😅

I'm 50 years old, married with 2 teens. I've been playing pickleball for over 4 years and lift weights regularly.
