UX/UI for Immersive Web Design
Hello everyone, I just launched my studio website, spectralmoonstudio.com, built with what we are learning here. Arina kindly looked at it and gave me feedback. The opening works, but after it the navigation needs to be clearer, and she suggested designing that part by hand in Figma before coding it. It made me realize how much this way of designing leans on storytelling, and that the UX and UI have to carry the story without getting in the way. So I went looking for a good place to deepen my UX and UI knowledge, and I found the Interaction Design Foundation (ixdf.org). They have a lot of solid courses and material, and I find it very affordable for what you get. In case anyone here wants to go deeper into UX and UI for immersive sites, it might be worth a look. Happy to share how it goes.

The biggest trend of web design in 2026 is human touch.
The biggest design trend of 2026 isn't a style. It's a reaction. When every tool can make something polished, polish stops meaning anything. People want work that feels touched by a human hand. Textures, real photography, scribbles. Make web design human again. :) Have you tried incorporating any of these in your recent designs? If not, I highly suggest you do, because people and clients start recognising vibe-coded websites really quickly now.

I have seen Vox style animations everywhere on social media. Will be interesting to create a website based on that style.
What stage of freelancer journey is everyone on? Curious 👀
Curious to know where you guys are at so I can better assist you!

@Arina Lans Yes I have been using Figma Weavy for the nodes style/wireframes building. Bur even them I still doubt where to add the information without breaking the flow. I will keep studying UI. Thank you for your feedaback!

@Arina Lans I Appreciate it. Thank you!
My first try at the method: Willka, two pods and a hummingbird
Hi everyone. I finished the course and decided to try the method right away. I would love your eyes on it. Willka is a fictional eco-lodge on the Bolivian altiplano. Two pods and a tour. The film is the page: the gate at dawn, the sun blinding you, an orbit around the lodge, a walk to the door, and then the salt fields. A hummingbird rides the whole route as a three.js layer over the frames. Every camera move was created in Blender first, then generated on Seedance, and the stills came from Midjourney. Link: [willka-spectralmoon.netlify.app] (desktop first, phone second) One question I keep going back and forth on. Right now there are two rest points where the film freezes and a card sits on it, plus one page section with glass cards that slide over the film before the salt. I was tempted to add a wide section of plain text, or white cards, so it reads more like a normal website. My worry is that it would cut the flow. How do you handle information on sites like this without breaking the spell? Any honest feedback on the scroll feel is very welcome too. The website is far from done, but I just wanted to show what I've done and get some feedback :D

@Bilal MirzaThank you for your feedback Bilal. You were right about the cards, they were sliding past instead of stopping, so there was no real chance to read them, I also notice that it did feel sticky in some rest moments with the scroll. They hold in place now and only move on once you scroll past them. The lag on Safari was real too, the film was loading far more frames ahead than a phone can comfortably carry, also only today I started wiring the right assets for a 9:16 . If you get a moment to look again on your phone I would love to know whether it feels better. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
