The Fastest Path to Becoming a Profitable Trader (It’s Not What You Think)
When I look back at the biggest leaps in my life – whether it's getting lean for the summer, becoming a strong programmer, or becoming a profitable as a trader–the pattern is always the same 👉 I spent an absurd amount of time with people who were better than me. When I first started coding, I didn't know anything. My first junior role was humbling. But spending 8-10 hours per day, 4-5 years surrounded by more experience engineers forced me to absorb the way they thought, the way they solved problems, the way they wrote code. Working with some giant, public tech companies for more than a decade, allowed me to process how some of the sharpest engineers in the world approached business and technology. I didn't learn everything at once, but piece by piece I grew because I was immersed in environments where others pulled me up. It's no different in trading. I've spent years surrounding myself (virtually) with traders who were stronger in different areas. Bit by bit, I adopted their thinking habits, their discipline. That's why I became consistent. Coaching matters–it compresses time and keeps you accountable. But the real accelerator is immersion. Putting yourself in an environment where you can't help but to absorb excellence. So, if you're trying to shortcut the learning curve in trading: Don't just learn alone. Spend absurd amounts of time with people who are better than you. Coaching helps, but immersion transforms you.
