🌱 Welcome, Beautiful Beings of the Rooted in Regulation Journey 🌱✨
Vanakkam, dear hearts 💗 — as we step gently into our third gathering together, take a deep breath in… and feel the rooted wisdom of your body, your breath, your being. This sacred container we are co-creating is more than a class — it is a return. A return to nervous system literacy, embodied liberation, and ancestral reverence. In this space, we are exploring Polyvagal Theory not just through science, but through somatic storytelling.🌀 The polyvagal lens helps us understand how our nervous system navigates connection and protection — mapping the pathways of ventral vagal safety, sympathetic activation, and dorsal vagal withdrawal. Remember: DROP THE STORY BE WITH THE FEELING. The SAH Method (Somatic Activated Healing) builds upon this by inviting the body to speak in movement and stillness, in rhythm and pause — honoring every nervous system response as sacred intelligence. 🧘🏽‍♀️✨ Through somatic dance, we begin to move our medicine — befriending the body, tending to our edges, and expanding our capacity to feel safely rooted and vibrantly alive. 🌿 Before Our Third Session, Reflect and Share in the Comments Below 🌿 1. 🌬 How does your body tell you when it feels safe? Can you recall a moment recently when you felt deeply at ease — where were you, who were you with, and what were you doing? 2. 🌊 What does movement feel like in your body when you’re in sympathetic energy (fight/flight) vs. dorsal energy (freeze/shutdown)? How does it change when you feel connected or supported? 3. 🌺 What ancestral practices, rhythms, or rituals help you feel regulated and rooted in your truth? 4. 💃🏽 How has the SAH dance practice impacted your relationship to your body’s cues and boundaries? What insights are emerging? Comment on a couple others folks to witness and support. Can't wait to see you all next week!! As we prepare to dance, breathe, and expand together next session, remember:🪷 “Your nervous system is not broken — it is brilliantly adaptive.” Allow this journey to be a gentle return home.
🌿 Share Your Experience & Connect! 🌿
Hey beautiful souls! ✨ You just completed a powerful 75-minute (with some technical difficulties lol) somatic and yoga journey—honoring your body, breath, and emotions. Now, let’s bring that connection beyond the mat! 🌀 What was your biggest takeaway from today’s practice? Did a certain pose or moment in meditation shift something within you? Maybe you had a realization, released tension, or felt something unexpected. 🌱 We each come from different walks of life—different bodies, histories, and experiences. Some of you may be yoga teachers, healers, or completely brand new to this work. Some may have backgrounds in trauma healing, movement therapy, or simply be curious seekers. Wherever you are, your voice is valuable. 💬 Drop a comment below and share: 👉 What stood out to you in today’s practice? 👉 How did your body respond to the breath work or meditation? 👉 If you could send yourself one loving message after this class, what would it be? ✨ Let’s build this space as a supportive, authentic community—cheering each other on, witnessing, and learning together. Tag someone in the group whose words resonate with you, and let’s keep the conversation flowing. Feel free to introduce yourself again too! 🌊💜 Can’t wait to hear from you in the comments! ⬇️🔥 xoxo Sunaina Madhav Dasi
