I'f love to play, but that is my anniversary weekend. Nuff said. :)

Purely based on how they play out in combat, I love gishes. I like the idea of martial prowess powered up by arcane power. They also have some utility spells to help outside of combat. That being said, it really boils down to character concept for me. When I play a martial, I try to craft a character that is enjoyable to play outside of combat. So, while combat may get a bit stale, the character as-a-whole, is interesting to play. Currently I am playing two characters, one a martial. Lyra Whisperfoot is a Harengon Warrior of Shadow Monk (currently level 7). The monastery near her village was attacked and a powerful artifact stolen. Her master was killed while fending off the attackers - I grew up watching Shaolin kung fu movies :). She left to seek out vengeance and bring the stolen artifact home. I wanted to play a character that leaned heavily into martial arts. Although, combat can get a bit repetitive, her personality allows for a lot of creative roleplay. She is impetuous and a little naive. She is also very curious, which always gets her into trouble. She's cute, but don't piss her off!

I can generate something in Midjourney if you'd like. Is everyone okay if use AI? I have to ask. :)

Well, I'm certainly going to date myself with this comment! Other TTRPG's a like and have played in the past are Shadowrun, Call of Cthulu. Vampire: The Masquarade, Vampire: The Dark Ages, Mummy: The Resurrection, Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Mage: The Ascension, Wraith: The Oblivion were interesting as well.
