Wanted to share this great video on creative ideas with David Lynch - I think the concept of catching ideas relates very well to the use of AI especially, as our ideas can be so immediate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VraKzpze7v8
Regarding what Lynch may have thought about (generative) AI, we have to take into account that Lynch was already in a position where he could afford to fish for ideas and have them made into films; everyone around him suddenly having access to produce something similar to what he might have spent years on in, say, a day, he would very likely know that was going to put him out of business. I don't know him well enough to say whether that would be something he would welcome; the vast majority of people fear such situations.
My friend asked me the all important AI question - How does one animate lips using AI tools? This is something I do not know, but we will discover the process together in this thread. I am on the case baby!
I have seen a corporate / training talking head type video where the language was translated from English to French. The woman speaking English was changed to speaking French, with (apparently) her own voice, with a French accent, and with the mouth apparently speaking the French words. I'll ask what tools were used.
Coincidence from the TLDR newsletter that arrived in my mailbox 2 hours ago: Talking Face Video Editing (GitHub Repo) https://github.com/JOY-MM/JoyGen JoyGen is a novel two-stage framework for talking-face generation. It combines audio-driven lip motion generation and visual appearance synthesis.
