So this popped into my head as one of the most important things about learning a song that I stopped doing, and its simple. I have not been playing along with a recording of the song I am trying to learn. For some silly reason I have started using the ultimate guitar tab page and just playing it based on memory. I need to get back into the habit of playing along with the song to get the strange timings and everything before I try to do my own cover. Basically trying to run before I can walk lol. Anyone else do this?
