Still feel stuck learning songs? Here’s why 👇
Most players try to learn songs like this: ➡️ Find a cool tune ➡️ Watch 4 random YouTube vids ➡️ Try to glue it all together ➡️ Give up halfway through Sound familiar? Here’s the truth: A song is just a LEGO set 😎 Big and overwhelming if you don’t have the manual. Simple and satisfying if you break it down into the right steps. Here’s the formula I use with my private students: ➡️ Song = Sections (Intro, Verse, Chorus, etc.) ➡️ Each section = Chords + Pattern ➡️ Practice 1 section at a time ➡️ Stack them together - done. I made a simple LEGO-style Guitar Blueprint that shows you exactly how to break songs down and finally finish them. Want it? Comment “BLUEPRINT” below and I’ll send it your way 🎸 Once you see how the pieces fit, the whole thing gets way more fun! - Dave 🎶

Still find the basic chords hard? Read this 👇
If you’re like most players I work with, you’ve learned a couple of chords… But switching between them still stops your strum. Your fingers don’t always move as fast as you want. And when you do play, it's good some days, and maybe not the next. This Friday, I’m running a LIVE zoom group class on Open Chords — and I’m going to help you: ✅ Clean up your chord shapes (no more buzzing and muting) ✅ Switch chords faster without having to think so much ✅ Understand why your fingers are actually getting stuck — and fix it Even if: – You're just starting out – You don't have much time to dedicate to guitar – You haven’t picked up the guitar in weeks, or have been on/off for years This is guitar teaching in real time — not like "easy/simple/fast" YouTube videos that you try to follow along with but leave you to figure it out on your own. Comment “CHORDS” below and I’ll send you the invite. **this class is limited to 10 spaces, 1 of which already went today, so please only book in if you are serious about showing up** Bring your guitar. We’re not just talking — we’re getting down to some playing. See you there – Dave 🎶

The 5 Stages of Guitar Confidence (most get stuck at stage 2)
After 20 years of teaching and over 1,000 students, I’ve mapped out the 5 stages every adult guitar player goes through. If you ever feel like: - You're stuck playing the same bunch of chords - You freeze when someone asks you to play - You’re drowning in YouTube Then this framework is going to change everything. Just comment “MAP” and I’ll send you the breakdown. It’s helped older, overwhelmed adults finally play guitar with confidence - and actually enjoy it. Miss a step? You stay stuck. Get all 5 right? You become that person who picks up a guitar and plays. Simple yet Powerful. Yours free — just comment “MAP” below. Dave 🎶 p.s. I built this for players who want a clear path. If that’s you, say “MAP” and I’ll send it your way today.
Hand Touching String 1 & A
Really struggling to keep my palm from touching the first string ruining the chord. A is also pretty tricky with some wide fingers.
Volume
All the functions of an electric guitar, including its switch, potentiometer, pickup offset, several alternatives in both Gibson and Fender models, Jimi Hendrix explored with it inverted, this helped in directing his right hand mainly, he didn't like the left-handed he learned inversely (it didn't have a vibrato bar underneath, there was more space to work near the bridge) on this occasion working on the volume, on a Fender Strat. Have a blessed Sunday everyone.
