What do you avoid?
I’ve noticed something about myself lately. There’s always something in my business that I keep quietly avoiding. 🤔 So, I'm curious. How would you complete this sentence for you and your business? “I really need a template for ______ because ______.” (What you avoid + the excuse you use.) I’ll go first in the comments 😅

I really need a template for outreach on linkedin because ... I do want to build relationships. And platforms like LinkedIn are great for that. But I really had (cold) outreach. I avoid sending DMs because I don't want to feel salesy. So I start conversations, exchanges messages. I always check that if they need my help I could offer my help, but then I don't actually invite them really into my offer. Sounds stupid when I read my message here... Templates could help me to do get that final DM to invite them when I genuinely see that I can help them.
What do you wish someone had told you?
There are a lot of coaches here working on new offers or products. Many of us are left trying to figure it out on our own, so I thought it might be helpful to share what we’ve learned. If you’ve already launched an offer, what do you wish someone had told you before you started? ⭐ What was harder than you expected? ⭐ What did you spend too much time on? ⭐ What did you ignore that mattered more? ⭐ What slowed you down? ⭐ What would you do differently now? ⭐ Anything else you wish someone had told you? There’s real value in hearing from those who’ve done it so please share your experience below 😊

Good to learn from others here :) I don't have issues with the tech (as I am a tech person offering a technical platform). My biggest learning over all the years is that I should have done more actionable "experimentation" and try things out versus "creating the best offer / strategy / ... on paper".. ugh. I lived too much "in my head". Even though getting advice to not do that.
Do any of you run ads?
As you know, this week I’m working on Meta ads to grow our community. My goal is to invite new coaches who are building programs, group offers, and digital products. So far, I’ve spent a lot of time learning about the Andromeda update which involves testing different angles and creatives to reach a wider audience. Then I moved on to building the creatives in Canva (I’ve shared a screenshot of the Canva file. It’s still a work in progress). So, I thought I'd test 3 angles: ⭐ 1. Free templates angle: “Stop creating coaching tools from scratch.” ⭐ 2. Time-saving angle: “Use ready-made, research-based resources in your offers.” ⭐ 3. Build + sell angle: “Turn your coaching ideas into products you can sell.” Next step is to get them live and see what happens 😊 🌈 Do any of you run ads to grow your offers or groups? Any tips for me? And would it help if I created a set of ad templates like these and added them to the Social Media Pack in the Classroom so you can make use of them too?

I have not much experience with ads. I did run ads to test out messaging and also trying out. I ran ads for about two months on a low budget (like 5 dollar per day). I got a lot of info about the tests. Specially what was not working well as messaging. I followed a couple of people who gave advice about ads and the biggest lesson is that you can speed up learning what works and what doesn't. But you have to set yourself up to do exactly that. Have a dashboard to track, where you can add notes etc. So that you are doing structured learning and can improve your ad results.
Audience engagement: what’s working?
Following on from an earlier chat with Miri, I’d love to hear what 'audience engagement' looks like in your world — and where you’re actually seeing it (comments, DMs, replies, community posts, etc.). For context: I’m a former Psychologist now doing Emotional Wellness Coaching (digital products/courses/coaching). I’ve noticed people in my niche often consume quietly - low replies to emails, and not much interaction in FB groups. Have you found that to be true too? If so, where are you seeing engagement, and what’s been working best to invite it?

I love this question. I have noticed the same. I don’t have a “warm” email list but there are about 2100 people on it. Very often I don’t get engagement at all. That is way I I am going to launch a community. I hope to get more engagement there.

@Nikki Pearson yes, that would be a good subject for a discussion. I think it’s not impossible, but I believe it’s easier when you do it more personal. Could be in audio format, like podcasts. So that you are with them, but you don’t show your face. I also see the faceless marketing trend with AI videos. Not sure what to think about that yet. Could be fun. I tried doing a short video series in 8 emails. I saw that people at least watched. But not taking other action. I am going to experiment with more formats.
How do you switch off when you're busy?
I’m deep in learning Skool and Meta ads right now and my brain feels very full 🤯 I love building new things, but some days it’s a lot. There’s so much to learn and I can feel that little voice saying 'should be doing more' in the background. From reading your posts here, I know a lot of us are busy building right now too. So I was wondering, when you’re knee-deep in the busy work of building your business… how do you actually switch off? What helps you relax when your mind won’t stop thinking about: your offers, your content, your clients, your next idea? What works for you? 💛

@Karin Hoernig what kind of audio books do you like? Is it business or other?

@Karin Hoernig oh ik, I wasn’t aware of the danger ;) I like audio books and I have an app called headway where you can hear audio summaries of all kind of books. But I also listen on Spotify audiobooks. I like business and personal development, but also other stuff like science or history. The last one I heard was the one from atomic habits. For some reason the content was more “sticky” then when I read the book.

Most coaches build automations first and discover the mismatch later. I help them discover what needs to be build first. Then I help with building.
