How should I pick a winner?
🧠Y'all wanna brainstorm on how to pick a winner? Last time I just rolled everyone’s names up in a ball and picked them from a hat.🎩 😎I figure if you’re gonna do something make it look cool. Now that we have 50 members I’d like to do something with a little more.. idk.. pizazz What do y’all think?

Not sure what other options there might be. Depending on how many people you have you can roll dice, write names on a deck of cards and draw a card after shuffling the deck. I dunno.
Post your progress
Everyone I’ve met selling lumber has something they’re working on that they are passionate about! I’ve heard a lot about yalls projects, but talk is cheap. A picture is worth a thousand words so show us how it’s going! (It doesn’t have to be wood related, just whatever your working on)

Don’t have many pics of this one yet. It’s set of vendor display stands. With storage inside. Gonna try to build the doors tomorrow

Beautiful mesquite $100. !!SOLD!!
Really beautiful mesquite live edge slabs with a large split down the center. These are for sale for $100 each. If they don’t sell within the week, I’m gonna do something a little different with these…

Mesquite is one of my favorite woods to work with especially for cutting boards. Nothing looks quite like it once it’s had a finish applied, but it’s also one of the most frustrating woods to buy because no one paints the ends and it tends to crack like crazy when it dries which for what I do makes it damn near impossible to find a good thick solid crack free piece
Slabbing out wood
Because I do about 90% of my work from rough cut kiln dried slabs I spend a lot of time hunting for wood and because so much of my income goes back into wood I’ve decided to buy a chainsaw mill. I doubt I’ll sell much as that kind of defeats the purpose for me but I’d definitely be interested in trading some of what I’ve got for some of what other people have. If that’s something anyone might be interested in definitely let me know. I’ve been planning a solar kiln build for a long time, I’ll keep yall updated on how that goes. Maybe later, I can add something to the community giveaway.

@John Kuykendall this has been a goal of mine for two years now but I’m just now gaining traction in my business. Like I said, at this point, selling it isn’t the goal, though that may change, who knows? The goal is to be able to source and provide most of my wood, trade it for other wood or stuff I need so we will see how it goes, got the chainsaw mill in today, the chainsaw will be here Sunday.
