CONGA LINE?
Could you please provide me with some sorting tips? I inherited over 1,500 brooches, 100 necklaces, 80 rings, 75 bracelets, etc. I do have it sorted by type and stored in plastic fishing lure type containers that hold 20 in each. Should I take one container at a time? Then go like a conga line. Spitshine it. Test stone with Presidium. Test material with acid. Take photos. Conduct price and use research. Write a description. List for sale. Take the next container. So on. I will obviously need to do some in lots. Am I making this too much work? Likely. On a good note... I don't have any untangling shows to look forward to!! I have had a significant health change, and the last thing I need is to leave this chaos to family. Wait a minute! @vintagescott is a expert lister now.๐Ÿ˜Š Ever been to Canada Scott?

Name change?
Iโ€™m thinking about changing my name. Would like to keep the TM part since people know my logo. Any suggestions I sell mostly vintage and antique sparkly jewelry. I usually get five or six new buyers in my show and have some regulars but never have have larger numbers so that bidding doesnโ€™t really occur so maybe this is a two-part question with the name change help that? Iโ€™ve been on Whatnot for almost a year now. my present name is TMroad39

When I started Whatnot, my username was dammit_steve_miller. However I wanted to be more family friendly and after 7 months I changed my username to reflect my business name Reef Reacher Fishing was too long so I settled on @rr_fishing. No one knows what to call me but Iโ€™ve decided that itโ€™s not going to change again without a great need to do so. I sell in the outdoor category but want to dabble in the jewelry game soon. I think that people find my shows because theyโ€™re on the app, I donโ€™t think that too many people are waiting just for my stream yet. Iโ€™m at 15 months now but Iโ€™m doing very well. I have just under 3k followers now.
Show Time selection
Iโ€™ve been selling for about 15 months on Whatnot now. , I have had my streams at the same time for the last 10 months and took time to schedule my streams without conflicting with sporting events and canโ€™t help but challenge myself to do better. Iโ€™m not a jewelry hound yet but doing great in the outdoors category. I am curious at how others choose their time slots? Thanks in advance

@Claire Dus Sault I was paralyzed in 2020, began recovering mobility 6 months later and today I can walk with a walker for 19 minutes without stopping. I struggled to be consistent for the same reason as you, I hope you can get back to knowing what tomorrow will bring so you can return to a normal routine. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ˜Žโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน
Starting bids
I was recently asked by a newer seller about how they go about pricing items for their auction. My response was to let them know how I do it in terms of figuring out cost per item and going from there. 95% of my items are uniformly started at a lower bid amount while a few bangers go for higher. How do you all determine your starting bid amounts?

@Bradley Johns I learned from you, I am well versed in what Iโ€™m selling and what comps are. I spen the last 30 minutes before my stream trying to develop a script of sorts to remind myself that I need to introduce myself, mention shipping time, what I do that separates me from the others and that Iโ€™ll stand behind every sale with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Plus I try to channel my inner Orvis. You have to realize how often the room changes and repeating yourself does help. You get to know โ€œyour peopleโ€ and I try to use them to get the chat going which I believe increases sales and community. Iโ€™m known to jump off a high dive and figure it out on the way down too๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Ž
Question/Discussion about reviews.
I pay a lot of attention to reviews when I make a purchase. That being said Im terrible about leaving them and would like to leave more notable ones, especially for newer sellers. I have noticed that most of the sellers I buy from have reviews from approx 10-20% of their items sold, so maybe Im not the only one that reads rather than write. My questions are โ€˜Do you check a sellers reviews before you purchase from them?โ€™ And if you do โ€˜Are there certain things you look for? Or do you just see if customers are satisfied in general?โ€™

I always read reviews, looking for ways to improve on my end. I always try to leave reviews when asked.
