How about holding a compression event one month this year. Start with basics then into more advance. Compression can sound better than just trying the limiting and soft clippng on some tracks I have found. Learned this from MP 101 while learning about Dynamics And Transients. To me the feel and sound was just a lot more warm. Sure it depends on the song. I just like the warmth better.
MP 101 - Loudness and Limiting
I set the provided song there is fire to -9 RMS but the MAAT meter shows 1 to 2 db above 0, peaking in the red. Why is this happening? Does this mean the low end is to loud and the foundation is wrong. I used the track provided. I tried to tame it some but that just makes the track quieter. I have the celling set but the peaks are still getting through.

If I feel what the singer is singing and I get lost in the feeling the song. Goal accomplished. As for just one - I want to go on the journey the song is taking me.

@Adex Felicia it is the instinct feeling that blooms inside, all is my answer. The music, lyrics, and arrangement. I like both lyrics that tell the story plus the ones that lets me visualize my own perspective. That is what is great about music.the music can take you away from the daily grind and set us apart to adventure into the journey. It is not one thing it is the combined story of the music, lyrics, groove, and combination of the art. Sing with feeling that moves and if it is from the heart, people will feel what you feel inside as you sing.
CUBASE USERS ANYONE ?
Does anybody no how to do gain automation inside cubase without it effecting the faders ????? I’ve watched may videos & live sessions here & always see them using the gain plugin in Logic whilst automating. I can’t seem to find how to do it inside cubase. If anybody knows please feel free to let me know. Many thanks

Yes cubase offers two ways to clip gain. In the eq area, in the mixer area as shown in the videos posted in this chat. Steps to Display Gain in MixConsole: - Open the MixConsole: Press F3. - Enable Pre Rack: Click the "Set up Window Layout" button (top left) and ensure "Pre" is checked, or click the rack selector arrows on the right side of the mixer and select "Pre". - Show Values: Right-click inside the "Pre" section of any channel and select Show Pre as > Separate Label and Setting. This prevents having to hover over the slider to see the gain value.  Alternative Gain Control Methods: - Clip Gain: Hover over an audio event in the project window to use the small handle for gain adjustments. - Direct Input Gain: In the MixConsole, you can directly adjust the "Pre" section's input gain by dragging the slider or double-clicking the numerical value. - VCA Faders: For more complex gain staging, you can use VCA faders.
