UNUSUAL LYRIC WORDS?
What is the most unusual, uncommon or rarely spoken (vocabulary) word you have ever written into one of your songs? OR What are some unusual, uncommon or rarely spoken (vocabulary) words you may have heard in songs by other artists—well known or not? P.S.— This post is inspired by the word “concur” on a separate post. Thanks @Monroe Neese and @Phillip Patterson …WE CONCUR!

The Rutles managed to work “pusillanimous” into “Another Day”. (“You're so pusillanimous, oh yeah / Nature’s calling and I must go there.”)
Why does Jake/Dane have the SoundID plug-in off when mixing and mastering?
Was just looking through Fix The Mix events and the How To Master Your Music 6 hour course and they have SoundID on their Stereo Output chain, but don’t have the plug-in activated. Is there a reason for this?

Because the SoundID correction that would be applied if it were on would be perfect for the instructor’s room - but not necessarily for YOUR room or phones. Similar reason for why you switch it off when you export or bounce your project - otherwise, you’d be baking in an EQ correction that would sound perfect in your listening space, but not necessarily in others.
👉MULTITRACKS
Everybody thank @Reuben Scott for allowing us to work with his art! Go to the CLASSROOM tab and scroll all the way down to January 2024 to download the multitracks and watch the replays when they go live. Get to work slackers!!!

Good stuff @Reuben Scott , thx! And kudos as always to @Jake Kodweis “We don’t need no stinkin’ plugins!” ;)
Mixing / Mastering speaker level?
At what level, or maybe SPL level are you listening when mixing or mastering?

@Yehudi Matthew Same here.
Wish i could afford this...guess i'm just here for the community
I'm not in here much, because i feel so bad and ashamed that i can't afford this program, and i don't foresee being able to anytime soon either, unfortunately. On top of that, my music's not that great and i am unable to be of much assistance to anyone because i don't really know anything of value that i can offer, so i don't feel like i would be very helpful to anyone, anyways. That's why i've been a part of this community for quite sometime now, but haven't really participated. I also feel real bad because i've been at this for so long and i see what feels like everyone else being able to get and understand all of this and advance their skillsets, while i haven't and stay lost behind. So, bottom line is this, i guess, i'm just here for the community, and all of the free monthly Fix The Mixes that i am allowed to access, sadly. Please, though i don't have much to offer, i would love to get to know some people on here better so that i can at least feel better about being here and not wasting anyone's time. I'm friendly and i don't bite. Maybe i might learn a thing or two. I really want to learn any way i can. And i promise to pay it forward. Thank You for reading. - r

We’ve all been there, my friend. Keep your chin up, and just keep doing what you love. Sometimes we are our own harshest critics. As long as you’re trying to improve, that’s all that really matters. You got this.
