Mini FRM no comms windows stuck down, sent it off for flash twice,
Help! Anyone assist, front footwell no coms cars stuck on driveway windows down and no coms, all I did was disconnect and reconnect the battery to put the windows back up after stripping down the chain for a camshaft exhaust fault code. Thought best I take off the battery but forgot to put the windows back up. Sent it to a company to be flashed and it’s been returned but it’s still no coms.

Scan tool recommendations
Hi, I’m setting up on my own as a mobile diagnostics/auto electrical specialist and I’m looking to invest in a decent scan tool. I’ll mainly be doing diagnostics, coding, programming, service functions and as much OE-level stuff as possible. I’ve been looking at Topdon, Launch, Thinkcar and the Hella S20 If you could only buy one scan tool today, what would you go for and why? Any regrets with what you’ve got, or anything you’d avoid? Cheers!

@Robert Shervill the thinkcar 394 can do two vci if you get a second vci and it has EV built in and AI, i love mine but the tool support could be better. it has scope and tpms functions are good i combine it with my snap on program tool as well, the battery tester is easy these are add on options and the reporting is easy to share to your costomer and looks professional
It needs a new gearbox - the garage said so
Well, just recovered this in from another garage for diagnosis, gearbox is a 7 speed auto. Banging, clanking, going backwards in drive, missing gears, no fault codes, customer told it needs a new gearbox, ran through everything and checked live data, proceeded to do a clutch pack calibration and bingo we have cured the issues and she drives perfect again. If you get an Auto don’t be scared, have a go I’ve just saved this old lady her car and 8k
