Happy Thursday 🎉
Missed popping in yesterday, life got a bit busy but I'm back. Quick honest update: the nutrition focus from earlier this week has been a mixed bag, better some days than others, and that's just the truth of it. Ankle's still holding steady though, which I'm grateful for. Been thinking more about how to actually turn all of this, the wins, the setbacks, the real numbers, into the full training program I mentioned Tuesday. More on that soon. How's your week going so far, still on track or has life gotten in the way a little too?

Finishing off my full time job and working a lot of over time cuts my gym sessions to zero 🙈 but at least my water and eating is still good.
9 weeks in. Ankle's holding 🏃🏽‍♂️
Did 6.4km on the treadmill today at 5:29/km pace, 120bpm average. That's a good, comfortable effort for where I am right now. Quick context: I'm coming off an ankle injury, and this is week 9 of my build toward the Liverpool Half Marathon (March 2027). Today's run felt genuinely good RuI'm running indoors right now because it's 40°C in Qatar 🥵 but once the heat breaks I'll move back outside and lose the headphones (music's a treadmill-only thing for me, not part of the actual training). Also starting to build out the full training program from this journey, the real data, the setbacks, the adjustments. More on that soon.

Well done MK and happy that your ankle injury is holding.
Monday 🥳
Monday is my favourite day of the week because it means I've rested well over the weekend and am ready to tackle my goals. This week marks the begining of a real focus on my nutrition. My goal is to trim some bodyfat to make running easier. I'm also doing a deep dive on my financial fitness because I have a goal of retirement in 2032. What's on your Monday plate?

Sunday 🐾
Happy Sunday 😊 Just got back from my morning walk with thr doggies and feeling ready for the day. Sundays are reset days, as we've mentioned many times. A perfect time for us to relax and plan for the week ahead, so we don't get overwhelmed come Monday. Whatever you do today, working out or chilling , do it purposefully. What's Sunday looking like for you?

@Mk Duma thank you, yes that's the last work related trip coming up as I am changing my employer and having a portfolio in Munich again.

Ankle update, and a Saturday check-in 🎉
Happy Saturday 🥳 As I mentioned, I did the test run Thursday after twisting my ankle a few weeks back. Woke up Friday to see how it would respond, and lo and behold, it was ok 💥 Small win either way. This is what getting older and staying active actually looks like. You stumble, figuratively and literally, but you do your best to recover. Whatever your Saturday looks like, movement or rest, do it on purpose. My plan is to get another run in today. I managed to get to the gym for a weight training session yesterday, so 3 sessions this week and hoping to close off the week in style, then chill with my wife and doggies!! What's on your plate today?

@Mk Duma that is often the hardest part not to rush through, but it pays out!
