How do you do it?
Where my empowered women at? How do you deal with “mean girl” colleagues in professional settings?

I've had some really mean girls at work, but interestingly not in my employer, but within my profession. Some have been real witches. Like patting you on the back looking for the place to stick the knife kind of witches. I just continue to play along, letting them think I'm on board, but secretly watching them like a hawk. Never mistake my smiles for compliance. That's my lesson to others who are facing this.

I know you’re broken hearted and I’m sad for you. But right now in my life, I just typed The End on my novel. I finished it a few weeks ago but then had to do edits and reviews and structural passes. That is fine now and I’m ready to send out into the world for advanced review.

Straighten that Crown!
I just watched the video - my crown doesn't need cleaning, but after yesterday, it does need to be straightened! One of the things I remind myself of daily is that not everyone holds themselves to the standards that I hold myself. It is disappointing when someone shows their true colors - especially when they need to hold someone else accountable for their actions. Stay true to yourself. You will be able to hold your head high. Embrace the power you hold!
