"UNLEARNING" TO HEAL
Something I don’t say often enough: two years ago, I couldn’t walk on my right knee. I weighed 320 pounds and I was carrying the emotional and physical weight of years surviving instead of healing. I had already left mainstream medicine in 2020. Infrared therapy came in 2021 (saunas). Patching with infrared light technology started in 2023 — not for weight loss, but to support my body while it relearned how to trust itself. That was the beginning of the shift. Then, in 2024, my husband died. The grief cracked everything open. I cut sugar, not to change my body but to protect my nervous system. Grief changed how I showed up for myself. Now, in 2025, I’m in personal training. I’m 52 years old and in this video, I’m pushing and pulling 135 pounds: the same amount of weight I once carried on my body. This isn’t a transformation post. It’s a reclaiming of movement., breath. and a life I was told to surrender to insurance codes, prescriptions, and decline that is unstoppable because of aging. And I just want to say this here:If your body still hurts… if you’re still carrying more than people can see. You’re not behind. You’re not late. You’re just on your way. Have you had to unlearn what they told you about healing? What’s one part of your body or story you’re reclaiming now? I’d love to hear it. Have you had to unlearn what they told you about healing?

Break the Loop: When Your Morning Doesn’t Go As Planned
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to feel off just because your morning routine didn’t go “perfectly”? Maybe your favorite podcast wasn’t up. Maybe you scrolled instead of journaling. Maybe your usual rhythm just... wasn’t there. Here’s the reframe I use (and it really helps): “I’m grateful. This interruption is helping me break the loop.” Sometimes the nervous system needs a small shock to move stuck energy. The moment things don’t go as planned? That’s often the exact moment something deeper can shift. If this happened to you recently, take a breath. Say yay for the loop breaking. And trust that movement is medicine. I’d love to hear: Have you felt this before? Do you notice certain disruptions actually help your healing?

Keep Moving Forward
With my widowhood journey, the past few weeks I have made it a point to find one or two small things I can throw out each time I change the garbage in my kitchen, or other rooms. These are things I have walked by for the last 14 months and unconsciously saw and ignored. I am noticing how doing this is helping me with letting go slowly and still making very small progression forward in healing. It doesn't always have to be BIG. It doesn't have to take a lot of time. Most of these small energy shifts still result in feeling little pangs of grief and I can let them go once I feel through them. This is a BIG win for me. Love you all and I appreciate you for sharing this space with me.

The Messy Middle
There’s a space in life that doesn’t get talked about enough. It’s the in-between, when you’re no longer who you were, but not yet who you’re becoming. It can feel awkward. Lonely. Even messy. But it’s also the space where growth happens. Question for you: Have you ever felt “in-between” versions of yourself? What helped you keep moving forward instead of staying stuck?
