Truth be told, I Wasn’t Happy 😔 I had a beautiful, happy and healthy family. I was Mom - the rock, the glue, the role model. I should be happy. What a gift, an honour, a blessing! And yes, THEY brought me joy/pride/purpose. But, inside I felt sad and empty. And there was one clear reason. I had forgotten how to be ME! EVERYTHING was about my family. The daily schedule, the meals, what I said, how I acted - ALL for them. Nothing to light me up. Nothing to shine a light on who I was before responsibilities removed the joy from life. And the worst part - we don’t want to admit it because we feel like we’re ungrateful. We feel like saying we want more means our family isn’t enough and that’s completely wrong. That’s not what’s happening here at all. What’s happening is you need: to play, to create, to laugh, to love, to JUST BE YOU!
