OK! So don’t kill me!
Yes, I’m getting ready to drop a couple more reels I made for a client 👀 And I’m posting them here first because I want to know what you actually want to learn how to make. This client… let’s just say they don’t exactly hype me up 😆 — but I know y’all will appreciate this because it’s straight strategy + design off the dome. No templates. In fact, I’m making templates FROM these. Here’s the play I ran for them — and this is something you can steal for your own content 👇🏾 🎯 Strategy Layer - Political with a splash of elegance: The entire content plan was designed to humanize my candidate through visual storytelling — showing her not just as a politician, but as a person. - Function over filler: Every inch of the frame should earn its place. If there’s empty space, I fill it with something that reinforces the message (dates, call‑to‑actions, brand markers). - Maximize visibility: Still posts are cute, but reels get priority in feeds. By making an ever-looping reel, we turn a static idea into a moving one that gets more views. - Thumbnail strategy: From a distance, her feed reads like a very elegant photo album — polished, consistent, and approachable. But when someone clicks on a thumbnail, it quickly transitions into the reel itself. This makes the feed visually cohesive while still delivering dynamic, engaging content behind each cover. - Content recycling: Use old photos or B‑roll that might not work as a standalone post, and reframe them so they look intentional. 🎨 Aesthetic Layer - Brand storytelling through visuals: Keep a rotation of “faces, places, and spaces” — moments in the community, with family, and in action — so the feed feels like a living album. - Consistent polish: Fonts and spacing stay consistent across posts so the brand feels unified. Variation comes from colors, imagery, and layout, not chaos. - Eye‑flow mapping: Arrange elements so the viewer’s eye naturally moves from the subject’s face → the name/logo → the main message → the CTA.
