🔥 𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗣 — 𝗪𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗚𝗢 𝗧𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧?
There’s a question for you. 😂 Go and have another look at the last post you wrote about your event, but this time try looking at it as someone who knows absolutely nothing about you or what you do. Would it make you stop and have a read, or would your thumb just carry on scrolling? Sometimes we get so close to what we’re creating that we forget everybody else doesn’t automatically know why they should be interested. So tell them! Give them a reason to want to be there, let them know what they’ll get from it and, most importantly, let a bit of 𝘆𝗼𝘂 come through in the post. Now go and look at yours. 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗴𝗼? 👀

NEW TO SKOOL? What Now? THIS ONE’S WORTH A LOOK 👀
If you’ve recently started your own Skool community and you’ve reached that slightly bewildering stage of… “Right. I’ve got the community. Now what on earth do I put in the classroom?” 😂 Shannon Boyer, who runs The Classifieds, has an event coming up tomorrow that I think could be particularly useful for those of you who are still finding your feet with Skool. It’s called “Now What? Your Skool Class” and she’ll be looking at how to build your classroom with a bit more intention and strategy — not just filling it with courses and hoping somebody eventually wanders in and buys something. The session is about creating a classroom that actually supports your members, helps them get results and fits with how you intend to monetise your community. It’s on Wednesday 7th October at 3pm New York time, and if you’re fairly new to building a Skool community, I’d definitely pop along and have a listen. And if you haven’t discovered The Classifieds yet, it’s worth having a nose around there too. Shannon has created a community specifically around helping Skoolers get their businesses, communities, offers and events seen. 👉 EVENT LINK Sometimes the difficult bit isn’t starting the community. It’s the “Right… what do I do with the bloody thing now?” bit. 😂

It does look good. I'm going to try to make it. Will there be a replay?
Stop Doing This, Keep Doing That & Have A Look At This🫣
I’ve got three things for you today — and yes, I’ve been keeping my little beady eye on what’s going on in here. 👀😂 First… Have you stopped posting because we now have the shiny new website? Please don’t! The website is another way of getting your event seen, but it isn’t going to do all the heavy lifting for you. You still need to keep talking about your event in here, follow the posting sequence in the Getting Started classroom and remember, you can post about the same event up to three times in a week. Use it! Now, confession time… Who’s been posting and ghosting? 👻 You know what I mean. Pop your event into the feed… then disappear. Let’s get into a new habit. Before you post, have a wander through the feed and support a few of the posts already there. A comment. A bit of encouragement. Ask a question. Have a nosey at what someone else is doing. Because this is a community, and the more we support each other’s events, the more visibility we ALL create. And finally… something rather nifty has appeared on the website. 😁 Thanks to a great suggestion from @Taras Mokrytskyi and some clever tech wizardry from Des, you can now open an event and see the date and time in different locations around the world. No more staring at ET, GMT, NZT and wondering what on earth is going on. 😂 And we’re not finished. We’ve already got more ideas brewing — including something new around the Hosted By section. 👀 In the meantime, don’t forget you can also share the URL of your own event page from the web site Show it off! Your event is now sitting on an actual website out there on the WWW, so grab that link and share it with your audience. It would also help us out getting seen more on the www. And if you spot something on the website and think, “Wouldn’t it be good if you could…” Tell us. We genuinely want your ideas. Although if it involves complicated tech, I’ll probably smile sweetly and send you directly to Des. 😂

I will get my events in here as soon as I have things nailed down this week. And I promise I won't ghost you. That is one of my biggest pet peeves! 🥰

@Des Dreckett Right!! I've made some amazing friends and collaborations by genuinely showing up in community. 🥰 And isn't that the point of Skool? I feel like in some respects Skool becoming a giant sales funnel. Not gonna lie, I enjoyed the vibe in years past more. Now I feel like I'm constantly being sold to in many communities I used to enjoy.
Your Event. Our Website. One Magic Button
If you’re a VIP and you’re wondering “Right… so how do I actually get my event onto the SED website now?” — this video is for you. I’m showing you exactly what happens when you submit your event, where to find the Magic Button, and how ridiculously simple the whole process now is. Your event can go from submission → my dashboard → SED Calendar + our shiny new website with a few clicks. No more forms flying backwards and forwards. No wondering whether I’ve got it. And no complicated tech wizardry required. 🪄 Have a watch and you’ll see exactly how it works. And if your Magic Button is refusing to be magical, give Des or me a shout and we’ll leap into action. 😂

Nice to see it in action. Thanks!
Would you like a little help finding the RIGHT people to collaborate with? 🤔
Des and I have been talking about something we’re both actually rather good at, connecting people. And that has come about due to knowing A LOT of people here on skool and being well connected ourselves. We often spot opportunities between people and think, “You two really need to talk!” 😂 So we’re wondering whether we could turn this into a service within Collaboration Station. The idea would be that we get to know what you’re looking for and what you can offer, then help match you with people who could be a genuinely good fit. That could be someone to: ✨ Run an event with ✨ Join you on a panel or discussion ✨ Speak or guest in your community ✨ Cross-promote with ✨ Help you reach new audiences, members or potential clients ✨ Or simply create a collaboration neither of you had thought of yet Rather than Des and I disappearing off and creating something because we think it’s a brilliant idea 😂, we want to know whether you would actually find it useful. POLL: Would you use a collaboration matchmaking service?
