Since I see we're having fun with AI art in a previous post... confession: I love using Suno AI to create music. You can hear some of my stuff at https://suno.com/@shaggypop - Problem is, after using it a couple years, I'm running out of lyrics, lol, and I almost never use up my allotted credits by the end of the month. If you have a poem you've written or song idea you'd love to see come to life, share them with me along with any potential genre/style/voice-type ideas you'd like me to try, will share the link, and once we get one you like, I'll send you the mp3 (or mp4 lyric video) or post it on YouTube if you prefer. No charge for this song-making service, since I just do it for fun and creative outlet. :) And I'll be sure to credit your name as the lyricist. :)

Plot Twist Friday: Choose Your Door
Plot Twist Friday: Choose Your Door You are walking through an old house when you discover four doors that definitely were not there yesterday. You may open only one: 🚪 The Green Door Behind it is a chance to begin something you have been quietly dreaming about. 🚪 The Plum Door Behind it is the truth about something you have been overthinking. 🚪 The Golden Door Behind it is one wildly fun, completely unnecessary adventure. 🚪 The Black Door Behind it is the courage to finally leave something behind. Which door are you opening and what do you hope is waiting on the other side? Answer with just a color, a sentence, or the whole story. Bonus quest: Reply to one other woman’s answer with the question you would most want to ask about what happens next.

Green. My retirement
Plot Twist Friday - The Chapter I Didn't Think I'd Write
Today, my divorce became final. I have gone back and forth about whether to share that here. Not because it is a secret, but because some experiences are too personal and complicated to turn into content. Since I want this to be a space where we can be our most vulnerable and sometimes messy selves, I need to be that person. This is not a celebration post. It is also not a post about the details of what happened or who was right and wrong. It is simply an honest acknowledgment that one chapter of my life has ended. I know this ending is right for me. I know there is peace, possibility, and a fuller version of myself waiting on the other side of it. But knowing those things does not erase the grief. Sometimes a plot twist is exciting. Sometimes it is devastating. Sometimes it is both freedom and loss at the very same time. I am sharing this because I want Plot Twist to be a community where we do not have to pretend that becoming the heroine of our lives always feels brave, beautiful, or empowering while it is happening. Sometimes becoming the heroine looks like crying in your car. Sometimes it looks like admitting that something mattered, even though it could not last. Sometimes it looks like letting yourself be sad today and trusting that you will straighten your shoulders tomorrow. (This is an ode to one of the most profound scenes in TV I have seen. It's the end of The Good Wife series when Diane slaps Alicia. She allows herself a moment to fall apart, straightens her shoulders, and carries forward). I do not have a perfect lesson tied up with a bow. I am still living this part. But I do know that an ending does not mean my story failed. It means the story changed. And perhaps that is the heart of a plot twist: the moment when the life you expected falls away, and slowly, imperfectly, you begin writing what comes next. For this Plot Twist Friday, you are invited to share only what feels safe: What chapter are you closing, grieving, rewriting, or finding the courage to begin? And if you have a happy tale to tell today, we want to hear that too.

Hugs! I too got divorced this year, earlier this year. It was actually my 2nd divorce, the last one was like 20 years ago. Part of me wishes I learned my lesson and never married the 2nd time. But there were good & bad experiences that came out of it & overall I'm better off now having experienced them, I think. Maybe. LoL. I am enjoying being independent now! For the most part.
