Your perfect customer is watching you, but… They're looking for a heart connection. Your perfect customer doesn't need someone to explain what lack, exhaustion or shame is to them. They have felt it. In their body. In their chest. In the grocery store when they had to put something back. Everytime they checked their bank account. You know those feelings very well. So, when you speak to your perfect customer — your content works best when it's felt. Leaving them to say, “That’s exactly how I feel. That means specific scenes, not general statements. Instead of saying, "financial hardship is real" — Say, "The night I moved a bill to next month and cried in the bathroom." Instead of saying, "entrepreneurship can be emotional" — Say, "I smiled all day and fell apart at night." Specificity creates feeling (Their specific pain). Feeling creates connection (They feel hope/safe/understood). Connection creates conversion (They begin to trust you). When you connect to the heart of your perfect customer first, it won’t take long for conversion to come. And those are the ones that become your most passionate advocates.
