Any Mercari Advice?
I’m finally spreading my wings and listing on Mercari as well as eBay. Any advice on selling on Mercari appreciated.

Thanks for your inputs. It’s good for me to have a realistic expectation 😁. I’ll give it a month or two and will kill it if no success. I don’t see myself ever doing WhatNot—fear of public speaking LOL. What other platforms do you recommend.

AI is my new best friend
I just started my eBay store subscription. Kept hitting obstacles and AI walked me through it. It then walked me through creating store categories, and created a store logo and billboard. I would go bonkers without it helping me. Thanks Jerry Wilson for teaching us about AI and how to use it.
Store Evaluation by eBay
I signed up for a store evaluation by eBay. This took place a couple of weeks ago. I will share the results in some posts here. This will be done in a series of 6 posts following this one. You can follow the advice if you wish. For me and my son (who also runs an eBay operation) we have implemented these changes and the results have been immediate. I am seeing serious double digit increases in organic impressions, views and sales. My son is seeing triple and quadruple digit results. The areas of improvement discussed were: 1. Free shipping 2. Returns 3. Images 4. Buyer groups 5. Taking down and relisting items 6. Social media

Jerry thanks a million for sharing the tips you learned with us. I’ve implemented multiple tools I learned from you: AI for listing creation, 10 or more photos per listing, ending/reworking and relisting older items and now a business social media site. Sales are improving with these done!!
Customer buys and only reads title
Shipped out the day she ordered With a free gift Buyer only reads title and buys item... Admitted to not looking at pics of tags nor written description box with dimensions in it. (Armpit to armpit 20") She received item But wanted a YS or youth small (YS fits a child about 7 years old) The tags say small Not youth small The dimensions are in the written description box She paid 5.00 for a hoodie (I mark it down til it sells because its kids) Kids sell terrible slow Heres her response after several messages What do you think?

I had a similar experience last month. Buyer clearly didn’t look at any pictures except the cover photo and didn’t read the description. Then sent me an angry message the item was misrepresented and wanted to return. It’s the only time I’ve ever replied to a customer using my Mom voice instead of a customer service voice.🤣. I pointed out they obviously didn’t look at pics or read description. Said I’d happily accept their return with a reminder my business policy is customer pays return shipping. Haven’t heard from them since.
