Hey mamas, It’s been a long 4 months. I’ve been sick with flu type a that turned into pneumonia… then pneumonia gave me a blood clot in my leg, that broke off and went to my lung (thank god it didn’t go to my heart) I had no symptoms until one day my leg hurt so bad and was super hot to the touch and I finally went to the er and they told me I had deep vein thrombosis and a pulmonary embolism. I was then put on a blood thinner and told not to miss a dose (I’ve obviously been struggling with money since I’m disabled) and then I was told I’d be on blood thinners the rest of my life and that it’s the only thing saving my life right now. I’m on my second course of antibiotics, hopefully they work this time. I’m trying to get into a new income based apartment, but the landlord verification is taking forever and life feels like it’s crumbling on top of me. I’m not allowed to work as I have pulmonary sarcoidosis, and pots which (iykyk) is a deadly combo. I’ve been doing gig work to keep the lights on, get the kids what they need and I’ve been trying so hard to get on top of things.. I have no family here and one friend that’s a single mom of 3 so she’s just as swamped as I am.. I’m writing this bc I’m so overwhelmed, so drained, and life feels hopeless right now. I could really use some prayers for my health to stabilize so I can work and get back on top of things.. and for me to get into this apartment. Right now, I’m living in Alaska in a dry cabin (which is a place with no water and no shower/toilet) and I’m trying to get into an income based 2 bedroom. I’m just struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel, my exs family is saying I’m faking my illness and “skating around my problems “ and frankly, I’m just depressed and don’t see the point anymore 🥺 I hope yall are doing well and I’m sorry I haven’t participated in the group more, but I genuinely love this group.

My family has this dish called “chili corn” 🌽 🥫that every blood relative loves but that newbies hate. It’s become a joke and we have it every year.
