What DAW are you folks using for film scoring?
I've personally tried to learn Ableton over the past year and I find it as unintuitive as any piece of software I've ever used. I play live as well as craft midi. What DAWs have you had success with?

@Clemens Hackmack I have been trying to switch to Reaper forever but I get overwhelmed, too! Do you have any advice as to how to gently ease into it? :D
A solution for hearing loss!
Hey everyone, for ages I am looking for a solution to compensate hearing loss. My hearing loss in my right ear is pretty severe and I always had the idea of coming up with a plugin solution to compensate the hearing loss - at least in the DAW. I never found a good solution and never had time to develop something similar but now HEARS Perfection has been released. When you open the plugin you can start a hearing test and based on the results, it creates a frequency compensation curve for you. It obviously does not replace a full blown scientifically done hearing test but it gets sort of close. If you are interested, I attached the video here. If you are a subscriber of the Plugin Alliance subscription, you get it for free.

Next ComposerOS video drops in 72 hours (and spring sale is still on)
Hey team, Quick heads up about what's coming in the next 72 hours. 🎬 ComposerOS: VST plugin video drops very soon The next ComposerOS video goes live before this Sunday at 23:59 Berlin time. You'll build your own VST plugin and load it straight into Cubase or any other DAW that supports VST plugins. No coding background required. At the same moment, the founding price locks. $97 becomes $147. In ComposerOS, you build the AI assistants that handle the work around composing. Sample tagging, cold outreach, web presence, and now your own audio plugin. The music stays yours. The time you save goes back into writing it. If you're already a founding member, the new module unlocks automatically when it drops. Open the classroom and you'll see it the moment it goes live: https://www.skool.com/audio-artist-academy/classroom/7a3929fb?md=98626aa945074592bee0470489208ee5 If you want the full breakdown first, the landing page is here: https://cos.alexpfeffer.com 📚 Spring sale: my other 6 courses are still on If you already own these, they're sitting in your classroom right now and you can dive straight in. If you don't, prices below until spring ends. - Trailer Music Trailblazers Vol. I ($27, was $249) - Trailer Music Trailblazers Vol. II ($27, was $249) - Game Music Conquerors ($27, was $249) - YouTube for Music Composers ($17, was $97) - Storytelling in Music ($17, was $97) - Cinematic Percussion ($17, was $97) Open the classroom directly: https://www.skool.com/audio-artist-academy/classroom Or browse the landing pages for full details on each: https://courses.alexpfeffer.com/ Cheerio, Alex PS. Quick one for the room. What's the one bit of busywork that's eating the most time in your composing week right now? Drop it in the comments. If enough of you flag the same headache, that's a strong contender for the next ComposerOS scenario.

@Alex Pfeffer Awesome! Looking forward to it! A quick question: when we have a question regarding the content of the course, do we post our questions here? Or is there a dedicated chat I haven't yet discovered?

@Alex Pfeffer Many thanks!
What is your biggest income stream in music?
I’m genuinely curious how most musicians here are generating their revenue. It’s a conversation I often have with members of my team, because the answer says a lot about positioning, leverage, and long-term strategy. Are you relying mostly on live shows, publishing, streaming, production work, brand deals, or something else entirely? I’d love to hear how you’ve structured it.

Hello everyone! I'm Stellita from Greece. I've been working as a full-time composer for the past 20 years but I'm always looking to learn and expand. Getting trailer music gigs is a longtime dream so I'm very much looking forward to learning. And ComposerOS! I can't wait to see what Alex will teach us!
