Sales Tip: The "Reverse Objection" Close
Ever have a prospect hit you with "I’m not sure if this will work for me"? Instead of defending the offer, flip the script: "That makes sense. Let me ask you—what would need to happen for you to feel 100% confident that this is the right move?" This does two things:✅ Puts the pressure on them to define their own success criteria.✅ Gives you the exact roadmap to handle their concerns and close the deal. Most people haven’t actually thought it through—they just feel uncertainty. Once they verbalize it, you can address it directly and guide them to a yes. Who’s used this before? Think about it—if they already had the right mindset, they wouldn’t need convincing. They’d already be taking action. So what’s the fix? Mastering the art of shifting their paradigm. Here’s how you do it in 3 steps: 1️⃣ Destroy Their Old Beliefs – Ask the right questions to make them realize their current thinking isn’t serving them. (Example: "If doing it on your own was the answer, wouldn’t you already be where you want to be?") 2️⃣ Paint the Gap – Help them see what’s at stake if they stay the same. Tie it to their personal WHY. (Example: "How long have you been thinking about making this change? And where has that gotten you?") 3️⃣ Show Them a New Reality – Position your offer as the clear and obvious solution. (Example: "Imagine 90 days from now, already closing deals and making $10k/month.
