One Tip That Helped My Book Grow Faster
One of the biggest mistakes I see authors make is waiting until their book is published before thinking about marketing. In my experience, the real growth starts before launch. What helped me the most was building visibility early, creating a launch plan, staying consistent with promotion, and making sure readers knew my book existed before release day. That's the approach I used with In Her Own League, and it completely changed how I looked at publishing. A great book is important, but readers can't buy a book they've never discovered. If you're writing your next book, don't wait until it's published to think about marketing. Start building your audience now, connect with readers in your genre, and create a simple roadmap for your launch. Even small, consistent steps can make a huge difference over time. Question: At what stage do you usually start thinking about marketing your book before you publish, after you publish, or only when sales begin to slow down?

@Jessica Willow I’m mainly focused on helping authors and small businesses build a stronger online presence through professional websites and online reputation management. Right now, I’m especially focused on turning website visitors into real enquiries by improving trust, messaging and the overall customer journey

Your Website And Online Reputation Should Tell The Same Story
Imagine a customer finds your business on Google. They see excellent reviews but the website looks outdated. Or the website looks professional but the business has very little recent customer feedback. That disconnect can create hesitation A strong digital presence should feel consistent from the first Google search to the final enquiry Your reputation builds confidence Your website reinforces it. Your customer experience should complete it. That's what standard businesses should aim for.
Is Your Website Converted More Visitors
A lot of business owners think they have a traffic problem. But after reviewing dozens of websites, I've noticed something different Most don't have a traffic problem They have a trust problem Within 5 seconds, visitors ask themselves Can I trust this business Is this business active Why should I choose them If your website or online reputation doesn't answer those questions, people leave even if your service is excellent What's one thing about your website that you wish converted more visitors into customers?

@Kathy Lockheart Usually, I’d start with clearer messaging. If visitors don’t understand what you offer or who it’s for, even strong reviews won’t help much. Once the message is clear, I strengthen the social proof around it so the whole site feels credible and convincing

@Kathy Lockheart The biggest issue I see is authors trying to say everything at once in their story, books, achievements and services without making it clear what they want the visitor to do next. I usually simplify the message and structure the page around the reader’s journey, which makes the website feel much more intentional
Did You Know?🤔
Every public post you publish on Skool has its own unique URL. That means it isn't just a post inside your community... it's a standalone webpage that can be shared, linked to, and even indexed by search engines, giving your content a chance to keep bringing in views long after you hit publish. Instead of treating every post like a temporary update, think of it as a long-term asset that answers questions, solves problems, and earns attention over time. Start writing posts people will still be finding months from now. Did you know this ?

A Quick Question For Business Owners And Authors
Have you ever searched for your name or business on Google and looked at what people actually see? Most people focus on getting more traffic but if your website looks outdated or your online reputation doesn't build trust visitors often leave before taking action Sometimes, a few small improvements to your website and online presence can make a bigger difference than spending more money on ads I'm curious what's been your biggest challenge lately> Getting visitors Turning visitors into customers Building trust online I'd love to hear your experience and share a few ideas if I can help

@Writer Larry A. I completely agree with you because a strong author brand isn't just about being seen it's about being remembered and trusted and with a professional website becomes the foundation of that brand, giving readers one reliable place to discover your books, connect with you and stay engaged long after they've finished reading
