It’s a brand new year 🎁
Today it’s the start of a change of pace for me. I plan on doing things differently this year. It’s a time to change and what better day to start. So here on day one I will share with you the way I incorporate change. It’s a little woo woo so if you’re not into being open this isn’t the space for you. Being vulnerable here so bear with me, it’s a hard thing to put into words, and I’m sure some things will be lost in translation, but here goes…. Who am I - the biggest question of all. And a simple one to answer from a space of soul. But let’s turn up the heat and ask it from egos perspective. So in my first session of the year I got a huge, and I mean huge, awakening. Ego - I am of service (ok that’s not a bad thing), below others so I must give (now that’s not so nice) and as a giver I don’t deserve to receive (ok now that’ really feels bad). Let’s look at the energy behind receiving…. And I really start to squirm - literally pulling away and trying to leave - I am so repelled by the thought of receiving (now we ask why and when this became my vibration) It’s in my throat and upper chest, like a weight, it’s thick and heavy and very, very negative. It hasn’t always been there, it’s new in this lifetime. It’s a choice (by soul??) yes by soul. (A punishment?) no an experience. (The lesson?) With wealth we give frivolously, without thought for how the receiver feels. We give to make ourselves feel good, better even, and to help without attachment. (Please remember this is my personal experience in a past life, not the truth) I’ll clarify here, my past life feels like I’m in a castle or some sort of noble place and I am from family generational money. So here (now) I have to give thru service (not wealth) and the negativity in receiving forces me to continue to give without receiving !!!! (Those who know me know this to be true. And know that I really struggle to receive) So to change this vibration I need a truth, and it’s only a truth for me (so it may not be for you) and it’s often hard to find. So I have to ask questions here till I feel a shift. That shift only comes when you have a realisation of a belief that doesn’t serve you ….

A lot of great insights here!
It’s a new year
And no I’m not going to tell you to set your goals ( yes you should!) or start doing affirmations (yes you should!) or get going to the gym (yes you should!) But I am going to suggest making time…time for you to do the things you love. Life gets in the way, yes. We allow ourselves to get busy or distracted, but if we actually write time into diary for the things we love you will find it has a big effect on your day, week and year. When we write in our own time we are prioritising self care, and I promise when you see it written down you’ll feel special. Follow thru with it. Work can wait, dinner can wait, the washing can wait. Give yourself permission to look after you, no matter what it is your love to do

Happy New Year and yes, time is ao valuable! Spend it wisely.
Ever had a horse that was difficult to worm?
Teddy has a reputation for head tossing, sometimes head butting and running backwards. So I spent a short session working with him on accepting the wormer. Everyone was in on it 😂

@Eliza Lane i get annoyed at people who use force to get things accomplished
Confidence isn’t bravery
So many people look to build their confidence with bravery when they come to a clinic or lessons. But the truth is you don’t need to be brave to be confident. In fact trying to be brave can often knock confidence. Confidence comes when you have answers. When you know what to do next. When you have done something enough that it becomes easy. Horses are predictable - when you know them well - so time builds confidence. Practice builds confidence. Find the people that help you with the answers. Just pushing thru won’t always cut it. You need to know what, why, when.

@Ed Sivell for real! Just being told something like inside leg to outside hand isn't enough. Like what is the why? How does it help and why? Understanding theory is so important!
I want my horse to…
Expectation is the quickest way to damage your relationship with your horse. I had someone say ‘I want to make my horse lay down’ this week. Just the language alone tells me a lot about what’s going to happen here. When we replace ‘make’ with teach or allow it changes the intention, therefore the energy. Also different horses for courses….the lay down is not for every horse. Some horses are way too sensitive for lay down straight up. They need a whole lot of preparation. To learn to trust, to come off pressure, to learn feel. Some take time, some take to it straight away. It’s horses for courses.
