Chinese VE pump or Chinese P pump
Currently I don’t have either one, I was going to run VE as it seems like it’s cheaper. I don’t have injectors or injector lines anyway, so either one makes sense. I can get a timing cover for 100$, but I do like the automatic fuel advance on VE pump. I’m running non-IC reentrant pistons and it’s a low HP build. Aftermarket VE, fake Cummins VE, or aftermarket P?

Always curious what one of those Chinese VE pumps are like on the inside, id go with the VE over the P pump if buying from China, because its one plunger for all the cylinders so the fuel quantity per cylinder will be inherently balanced compared to the p pump, if you do order one let us know how it arrives and if it has a bosch number plate/serial
24V VE Pump No Start
Just got this 24v VE pump together and plumbed, having issues starting by itself, starts on gas rag and runs fine after that but won’t start on its own. Anyone have any ideas, I am running a fass pump, I’ve checked all the lines for possible leaks, and none of are found. Bled it fully while running and still no start. No smoke out of the exhaust while cranking as well. Injectors are 125hp from Dynomite Diesel Performance set at VE pop pressure

Update on this, the truck began starting harder and harder and requiring more pedal to start then eventually wouldnt start no matter how much pedal or how long it cranked, kicked right over with some ether, no smoke while cranking, decided to take the pump off and dig in and see if anything was worn went all the way down to the cam plate, the rotor and head still felt tight and the cam and rollers were not worn, and the cam still measured to the proper lift, then getting into the the delivery valves found some corrosion and they were not moving freely. Got them clean and freed up, then got the pump back together and it started up after a short crank no pedal. Then over the next couple days it got harder and harder to start, so we took the delivery valves out again, and noticed one was stuck in the holder, got it out and switched it to a different holder that wouldnt stick. now that its back together it starts immediatly like my other VE trucks do, anyone have insights on this, would the delivery valves really cause a no start like this without noticeable issues when driving. Considering purchasing new DVs but not a throw parts at it guy. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
92 12v p pump
Have a 92 12vavle was originally a 175 hp ppump swaped it to a 210 pump and injectors still has the stock h1c turbo Since I swaped everything over I have found that 3 of the injector body are cracked Looking at get a new set of powerdriven diesel stage 2 power jets with 3k gov springs Truck is around 13,600 lbs empty and around 20,000 pretty steady loaded and not uncommon to get as heavy as 25,000lbs Any thoughts?

Dynomite Diesel Products's are cheaper, and they don't charge a 150$ core, and it has the pilot injection, I may be wrong but I believe DDP makes the nozzles for the Power jet injectors
Ve pump 24v
Currently working on swapping a ve pump 24v into my first gen and have issues had the injectors repoped to 265 bar (stock vp44 nozzles) motor seems to be really doggy and sputters when revving do you have to put bigger nozzles in it to run properly?

Just did this last month, we set the pump timing to 16 degrees using a dial indicator and it purrs nicely, we used injectors from Dynomite Diesel just called them told them our plan and they got us set up with their 125hp injectors re popped to VE pressure
VE Pump Timing Spacer
Curious on everyone's thoughts on the timing spacer has anyone used it and noticed a difference, in theory it seems like a good upgrade. Considering ordering one and trying it out.

@Robert Winkworth Would you recommend I leave the pump at stock timing if i'm going to use the spacer?
