Product Validation Update!
Just wanted to share that while I am still working on getting interviews scheduled, I've used the Deep Research agent on ChatGPT to scrape forums to validate some of the points on the PAIN framework Adam shared with me. Since my product is a marketplace and I really only have personal experience on one side of it, this process has been incredibly helpful for helping me prep for interviews. I would recommend the following prompt for anyone looking for some extra information about their problem: "Are people currently discussing the difficulties of X Problem on social media, relevant websites, trade publications, or other groups? Find me 3 recent examples from 2025 if so." Then let the bot scrape the latest posts from Reddit and LinkedIn. Not a replacement for talking to potential customers, but its given me some helpful language to describe the problem I'm solving for!

I appreciate the note at the end, not a replacement for customer interviews but it can for sure enrich the data set.

@Adam Egger I would be wary of creating a prototype with only AI desk research, but I understand the idea of making something quickly. I think at least some qualitative amount of customer interviews are important (if not crucial here) — 5-7.

@Adam Egger Here are my notes = * Be open and honest with where you are, the point is to learn * Adam posted this script from Jen Abel, “Hey, I'm an early stage startup. We are deeply passionate about solving this specific problem. We have a lot to learn. Here's how we are thinking about it from a problem-priority perspective. Can we gain your insight into how this problem is manifesting on your side?" https://www.lennysnewsletter.com/p/master-founder-led-sales-jen-abel * And then let them open up. Now you have them one talking about the problem. Now you're getting the intel about their perception of the problem. And if it isn't even a problem, when you say you're early stage, and there's still a lot to be done, it is easier to be honest. * The Mom Test came up again * Oversubscribed: https://www.thefutur.com/content/have-people-lining-up-to-do-business-with-you * Focus on one platform * There isn’t only one kind of funnel
What Actually Works on LinkedIn: NEW Insights (And a Few Surprises)
Richard van der Blom posted this super insightful document today. Here’s what actually works (and fails, hard) on LinkedIn this year, with some brutal data to back it up. - Video: The algorithm loves vertical, short, snackable videos. Quick wins big: great reach, top engagement, and yes—these work better than horizontal. - Polls: Totally underrated, they can double or triple your reach. Fantastic for starting conversations, and perfect for multi-part series. - Documents/Carousels: Absolute weapon for sharing ideas. 8–12 slides is the sweet spot, but here’s the secret: your first slide is everything. Nail it, or expect zero interactions. - Text + Image: The workhorse—almost 60% of all posts. Infographics are especially hot right now. If you’ve got a story, add a visual. - Text Only: Tricky. They only work if you’re a great writer. Short posts (less than 100 words) don't work at all—fact. - External Links: Don’t stick external links in the comments—it’s an old myth. You want reach? Leave links out. You want clicks? Link goes in the post. What to Avoid (Unless You Like Being Ignored) - Dropping raw links in comments (no, it’s not a hack, it’s a reach killer) - Long posts with no clear hook (instant skip) - Slideshows with a weak first slide (people bounce in seconds) - Horizontal, TV-style video (LinkedIn: not TikTok, but not TV, either!)

Interesting about the links in comments: “Don’t stick external links in the comments—it’s an old myth.”
How do your LinkedIn Posts perform?
Hi all, People on LinkedIn complain about low engagement, which I personally don't see. I'm curious, do you watch the performance of your LinkedIn posts? How are they performing? Do you see higher levels of engagagement for personal posts? Can you post the number of impreesions of some of your latest posts? By doing this we can best learn from each other.

Testers Needed for my Software Idea Generator
Hi, dear community, Is anyone here interested in building software? I've created a tool designed to help others develop valuable software quickly. I'm looking for additional testers to enhance its value. Anyone? Adam PS: This is the fourth tool I've built, and these tools help me in my coaching efforts. I develop these tools to deliver more value to my coachees.
