🚀 CalSync v1.1.0 is LIVE — Universal Mode (iPad + More)
This is one of the biggest updates we’ve released. We’ve introduced Universal Mode — which opens CalSync up beyond just reMarkable. 📥 Download Latest Version (1.1.0) Apple Silicon (M1 / M2 / M3) https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/arm64/releases/latest Intel Mac https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/x64/releases/latest Windows https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/win32/releases/latest What’s New — Universal Mode - Works with all popular tablets (including iPad) - No Developer Mode required - Generate your planners exactly the same way as before - Planners are transferred manually in this mode 💡 What this means Until now, CalSync was tightly integrated with reMarkable. With Universal Mode, you can now: - Use CalSync on devices like iPad - Generate planners anywhere - Stay in full control without needing special device access This makes CalSync more flexible, portable, and accessible. ⚖️ Important to understand - reMarkable Mode → Full automation (push directly to device) - Universal Mode → Manual transfer, but works everywhere - You now choose what fits your workflow. We’re opening the door wider with this release. More flexibility. More devices. Same powerful planner system. Let me know what device you’re using this on 👇

@Pascal Gruisen Yes, notes are preserved on both ....but reMarkable's sync and organization are more polished. Kindle Scribe saves notes to Amazon's cloud which feels more like a secondary feature than core one.

@Chris Gallacher you can!
I think I broke my planner . . .
I was trying to add additional pages after the Summary page I added after each day. (try9ing to add and additional page for a particular day. Now I don't ahve an "August 26" day - IO can see it in the week view, and it is still pon the month calendar (with a day-long event on it) but I can't select the actual day planner . . .has this happened To anyone else? Is there a fix?

Try to Refresh calsync: Export your current planner as a PDF (just in case). Run Sync: Connect your reMarkable to your computer and run the CalSync application again. Re-generate: CalSync will scan the document, detect the shifted pages, and automatically re-index the hyperlinks to point to the correct dates hopefully..
A Dead reMarkable Pro
I purchased a new reMarkable Pro, downloaded a couple of templates, all went well fir a week then one day it just did not boot up or connect to my pc. ReMarkable were as much help as an ashtray on a motorbike, They refused to support because they blamed the software. They told me that there is no way to reset the tablet. Who builds tablets and dont offer a reset feature. Can anyone help me here?

Plug the tablet into a low-power USB port (like a PC or a standard 5W phone brick). Avoid Fast Chargers Hold the Power Button down for at least 15 seconds. Release it, wait 5 seconds, then press it again for 2 seconds to turn it back on. OR If the tablet won't boot or connect to your PC, you can force it into a low-level recovery state. Connect the device to your computer via USB. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Immediately after releasing, press and hold it again for exactly 3 seconds. Note: The screen will likely stay black/frozen during this. You must then download the "reMarkable Recovery Tool" from their official support site. This tool is designed to "see" the device even when the main software is corrupted and can trigger a factory reset from your PC. OR Some have found that the Paper Pro gets stuck in a boot loop if the battery is critically low or the software is hung. Leave it plugged into a PC (not a wall outlet) for 24 hours straight. Occasionally, the low-voltage trickle charge from a computer port is the only thing that "wakes up" the battery controller after a software crash. Try any of these..(hope it helps)
Use RM system date when opening Planner
Since RM uses a Linux kernel, is it possible for a planner to open on the current date based on system date? I realize the planner is just a pdf files and links. Is it possibly using a cross reference to the Julian date? I'm sure there are many other dependencies

@Russell Haden heyy so this is what @Jason Smith told me to do "let it completly run out of power then do a full charge and then power on" Also i read where it’s a glitch if you use a fast charger. Might try plugging it into l pc using the wire provided and get it out of sleep mode.
Syncing issue
This could be a sync issue or maybe i need to do something in Google settings? My Tablet is not syncing Birthdays

Go to calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect. Ensure the Birthdays box is checked. Permissions: Ensure your CalSync app has permission to "See and download all your calendars" in your Google Account Security settings. If it's set to "View events" only, it often misses the Birthdays layer. The Workaround: Because Google’s "Birthdays" calendar (synced from Contacts) doesn't have a standard public URL, CalSync sometimes can't find it. Many users fix this by manually creating a new "Birthdays" calendar in Google and adding the dates as recurring annual events; these will sync perfectly every time. Refresh: After changing these settings, open the CalSync desktop app and click "Sync Now" or "Refresh Calendars" before pushing the update to your reMarkable.
